On a positive note I think we had a really good first quarter! I liked Tim Thomas tonight, attacking more. I’m hoping Camby will be back for next weeks game. Baron is great.
On the flip side…don’t get me started, don’t even get me started.
It is 1 game and last year we started out 5-0, right? So maybe this is a good sign? (I’m trying here)

Tim Thomas was aggressive, which got him to the line. He couldn’t capitalize, however. Skinner was nice on defense. Baron shined, at least for the first quarter.
In ’04, we beat the Sonics on opening night by thirty points. The Sonics went on to make the playoffs that season, winning 52 wins. Therefore, this team is due a lengthy win streak. No better way to start than the Nuggets sans ‘Melo.
Terrible, I was at the game. Kaman was horrible, he didn’t recognize the hard double team. We couldn’t hit a jump shot. Only good thing was Novak is a good shooter, B. Davis is the best clipper PG ever and Baron showed his leadership w/ a post game scolding to get the team focused
I found this quote from Dunleavy today. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a head coach of any sport say another team is the best in the league at the start of the season. Even if he thinks it, he probably shouldn’t say it. Imagine playing for the Clippers and hearing this before the game. Great pep talk.
‘Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy said before the game that he thinks the Lakers may be the best in the league. “Defensively they should be one of the top three teams and then they’ve got Kobe Bryant at the end of the game to cancel all bets,” Dunleavy said. “If I’m picking, that’s who I’m picking to win it all if they’re healthy.”‘
The Laker defense was good maybe too good, and it seemed almost like streetball at times. I DVR’d in HD and went back and watched some key segments and it seemed illegal by modern NBA standards.
I actually don’t blame Kaman so much as the rest of the guards because they could not hit anything from outside and allowed the Laker bigs to sag the middle and load up the passing lanes. On defense the Clipper guards were giving guys open threes as they doubled on Kobe. Don’t get me started on the free throws.
I knew it would be rough without Camby and hopefully in a week we’ll get to see a better product on the floor.
I was high up in section 308 and had a great view of the whole court. I was disappointed with the Kaman effect. I do not want to bring negative feedback but it was an ugly game after the 1st qtr. I recored the game on hd dvr also, I will watch it again and see where things went wrong. The Clips bench came in and were down by 9 or so and the team never recovered.
I too was there in 115. Painfull. One great moment when Baron made Vlad fall down and a few other nice plays but after 33-32 or whatever it was then.. wow.
T.T. has got to make a few more of those shots. I know I can’t hit the side of a barn, but I’m not a starting foward in the NBA. Damn. It’s early and the Lakers are stacked, but that was somthing else.

Seriously? Seriously? This is a god damn joke. You should never lose to anyone by 30+ points. I’m disgusted.

Definitely one of our worst losses ever. Hopefully it’s not the kind that will deflate the team into a depression, but they have plenty of excuses.

It’s hard to make comments after just 1 game. Kamen didn’t look good though.

yup, that was pretty butal of a loss. You have to remember they were playing the Western Conference champions.
But really, there is zero excuse for getting killed like that.
