Taylor has been running the point most of the game so far. Perhaps the Dunce is not as clueless as I thought.
Here we go again. Tied at the half, now down 13 with 34 seconds left in the 3rd quarter.
Thank you, Baron. You piece of garbage. Try walking and chewing gum without ending up on the IL. What a crap season this is going to be.
Ricky finally hit a shoot, Taylor not a good passer but a better option than Hart. I would like to see Gordon play. Also, the effort was better BUT no execution from the offensive end. A pass to TT at the wing, he holds in for 5 secs then backs down his man and does a turn around jumper. He never looks for a wide open Novak, Taylor or Cat in the corners.
Does the torment ever end?
Again, Dunce is asleep at the switch while the Clips fall victim to 15-0 run to close out the 3rd. He might want to mix in a substitution or timeout before the lead becomes freaking insurmountable. This guy should not be at the controls of a Metrolink train, much less a professional basketball team.
This is what can happen when you roll the dice with notoriously injury prone guys like Baron and Camby. I don’t question the moves we made, because I agreed with both, but expecting a full 82 from both of them is silly. Baron is day to day and Camby should be back soon so the sky isn’t falling yet- but we sure do look like a rag tag group that doesn’t know how to play with each other. It’s hard rolling with Jason Hart and Mike Taylor at the point and expecting to get wins against teams as good as Utah.
Typical Dunce 2nd half meltdown.
After talking so highly about Gordon after the draft, I wonder why he’s not seeing many mins. Other rookies around the league are getting a lot of playing time.
I expected a loss – we’ve won something like 1 out of the last 30 games in Utah.
What is highly disturbing is our inability to put the ball in the basket in the 3rd and 4th quarter. We’ve totally collapsed offensively 3 games in a row.
I’m glad Taylor got more PT tonite – at least he brings energy and can score. Jason Hart and Ricky Davis have been utterly disappointing so far. Eric Gordon should be getting at least half of Ricky’s minutes right now – he can’t possibly do any worse. Or is Dunleavy gonna do Eric like he did Al where he didn’t play him hardly at all until he was forced to….?
Bottom line – we need a healthy Baron to initiate our offense and lead the team, and a healthy Camby to anchor our defense or we are FUCKED.
I agree with stian….. Plus, try starting Gordon at the point. Thomas is playing better than expected but is getting owned on the boards.
