Just in case anyone was regretting letting Maggette go.
Maybe so, as we have seen Maggs play for many years, but if he was on court lastnight we more than likely win, as he gets to the line and Mavs don’t score 16 ofthe last 18 points.
I wonder if the Dunce will start Taylor over BD soon? You know he’s thinking about it.
Maybe we could just throw him in there at the end of games pretty soon. He couldn’t do any worse. You don’t even have to give him the ball, put it in EJ’s hands. What’s 65M over 5 years anyway??
With Sam Mitchell fired today, why is Dunleavy still our coach? I understand not wanting to pay somebody for a job they aren’t doing, but Sterling must be feeling some pinch in his pocket when he sees the empty seats in the stadium (OK, so I’m joking about the pinch part). Seriously, why is he still here? Worst coach EVER! On paper our team shouldn’t be that bad. How long can you use the excuse of “It takes time for a team to gel together”. Are there even any superstars coming out in the lottery next year?
fox sports story had him as one of 4 coaches on the hot seat and the rockets announcer (i have houston feed on league pass) mentioned that as well.
i don’t even mind his g.m. work so much. he should resign as coach, stay as g.m. and let someone else have a go.
meanwhile, it’s 69-67 and we’re in this one at least.
Hire Larry Drew
Anyone that the players would respond to
did eric gordon get hurt in the game? why has he only played 5 minutes?
taylor is a foul machine….to his credit dunleavy did call a timeout as the momentum shifted and rockets started to extend the lead!!!
Already in the penalty and Zach’s dumbass just continues to hack Yao and send him to the line. Great job, you moron.
Mark it down, we will find a way to lose to the atrocious Grizzles or Wolves. It will be a 1-3 trip.
Oh and Mike Smith, more Baron Davis “clutch” “big time” late game play.
Bad shot after bad shot.
He doesnt deserve the title “clutch”
But man, he’s reminding me of Kobe 2004, where the ball would get back to him w/ 3 secs on the clock. I guess that would explain his horrible shooting percentage
Kevin, can we please get a piece on how the hell Dunleavy still has his job?
DUH! Sterling owes Dunleavy another 15 million bucks – why would you think he’d eat all that dough and then splurge for a new coach to boot? Ain’t gonna happen. Dunleavy is not going anywhere anytime soon, regardless of how bad things get around here, and if Dun were the GM only he’d hand pick his successor who’d likely employ a very similar style.
Yeah, it’s like he’s pissing in his boss’s coffee mug, but his boss can’t fire him.
Things have got to be shaken up. So how about starting Novak? That way Thornton can come off the bench. I don’t think within the last five games the bench has scored more than 10 points combined.
As for tonight’s game, I really didn’t think it was horrible. Clips just got worn down again.
I thought this was funny when I saw it. They’ve already figured Maggette out in Golden State.
Sources: Warriors Already Regretting Maggette Signing
Dec 03, 2008 7:14 PM EST
Corey Maggette is averaging 19.7 points per game, but his somewhat selfish play hasn’t gone unnoticed by other players.
According to sources, after the final buzzer against Boston, Kevin Garnett turned to Maggette and shouted, “Way to get your numbers.”
“He just puts his head down and goes to the basket,” an Eastern Conference scout said. “He doesn’t even look to pass.”
Team sources tell SI that the Warriors are already regretting signing Maggette to a five-year, $50 million deal last offseason.
That’s a funny story about Maggette. He does like the bull in a china shop routine on offense…all he does is put his head down and look for thing to run into, and then explode his arms when he does and gets calls.
At this point, it seems like no matter what we did this offseason we were screwed. Baron isn’t playing too well, Brand has been slow coming off injury and now is hurt again, and Maggette is still Maggette. No matter how we spent our money this offseason, we’d probably close to the same record we are now, which is highly depressing.
Anyone else rooting for this thing to completely blow up? At this point I hope we don’t win another game, just so Sterling HAS to fire Dunleavy and hopefully starts a rebuilding process around Gordon and Thornton. Everyone else can go.

If we get rid of Camby and Kaman we wont be as efficient as we are today. Camby has helped us more than Kaman has on the defensive end I rather see Kaman go than anyone else go because Kaman is not a top noth clutch performer as Richardson is on the Bobcats. Camby is averaging almost 3 blocks per contest as Kaman is averaging almost 2 blocks per contest. Plus Camby takes better care of the basketball than Kaman does. If we get Richardson we will be in the starting 5 and hurt the production of Eric Gordon plus our future in Cap Room. We did good when we got rid of Thomas and Mobley because we was not efficient when we had them nor we played enough defense when we had em either. If we had this happen which is Randolph, Kaman, and Camby on the block then it is goin to stir up some problems unless you can put Kaman as your backup center on the bench. If I was Dunleavy I would put Kaman as your backup center for now and not do no more trades. The only trades I would do would be Ricky Davis, DeAndre Jordan, Brian Skinner and Jason Hart those are terrible players on this team we need to address than anything else. I understand that Ricky is hurt but unless he addressed it earlier wouldn’t cause so much karma. Now Ricky has a problem to deal with he is in a situation now that Dunleavy might want to trade him. I would package 4 bad players and trade em for good values. Then you got Mike Dunleavy that brings up excuse after excuse after excuse enough with the excuses Dunleavy and become a GM you do not know what the heck you are doing. We need a backup point guard and shooting guard that plays defense I sorely miss Jason Willams in that compartment I hope he comes out of retirement and comes and helps us this season but that will not happen. Another this would helps us too is the backcourt efficiency.
52.4/52.6 OK at Frontcourt
52.9/122.1 at Backcourt
problems lie on
we need a better backcourt
Kman for jrich. Bring him off the bench like jason terry. No more single digit bench points.
Dunno if he fills in the hole where we desperately need I think G.Wallace is better.
