CLippers did a good job with Skinner shutting down Dwight Howard. And Collins and Randolph shutting down Lewis 1-7 FG to end the half. This is the defense I am talking about if the Clippers can play some defense they will win some close ball games.
man i am lovin there dfense tonite. if they played defense like this every nite they could be like 10-10 rite now because the clips love to breakdown in 4th.
O Crap! just saw BD’s buzzer 3 at end of 3rd quarter.
I know this is irrelevant but did anyone see the fight on sat.?

Fuckin’ Dunce. Again, he crawls into a hole as the opposition goes on a huge run (19-2… and counting). Actually, it’s fine because now I’m rooting for the Clips to lose every game in the most embarrassing fashion possible. Typical case of losing a battle to win the war… and the war is against bad coaching. Dunce… get the fuck out!!! I’ve been a Clip fan for 20+ years and this is easily the sorriest team even in the Clippers sordid history. At least back in tha day when we were losing over 60 games, it was somewhat understandable when your top players include Mo Taylor, Terry Dehere, Mike Woodson, Quintin Dailey, etc… This team has bona-fide NBA talent in Baron, Z-Bo, Kaman, Camby and Al, yet is still one of the worst teams in the league! Look at the rosters of the other shitty teams in the league, i.e. OKC, Minny, Washington, Sacto, and you can kinda see why those teams are in the position they’re in… Meanwhile, you look at the Clips’ roster and just shake your head. There’s a lot of factors involved, many of which will be argued here, but the main culprit HAS to be coaching. Goddamn Dunce has had this team for 5+ years, taken us to the playoffs a whopping ONE time, and has the team is far worse shape than he inherited. This smug jackass has GOT TO GO.
Man, I TOTALLY agree with you. I’ve been a fan for over 15 years and I can’t believe how horrible this season is! This tops it all, well above the Bill Fitch and Chris Ford disasters. Prior to this year, I’ve always given Dunleavy the benefit of the doubt, but now I’m quickly renouncing that idea.
The guy is so predictable and has no clue how to adapt to each individual game. He honestly thinks every player and coach in the league is reading the same “How to Coach a Championship Team” book that he has stored at his bedside table. This is ridiculous!
We were up by 9 pts (I think) going into the 4th, and Orlando makes a 10-0 run. Ok, they’re a great team, so no surprise. The shocker…Dunleavy leaves the same trash crew on the floor after the timeout…Wow! And who the heck is Maurdy Collins and why is he playing so much? The guy can’t dribble, play defense, or even make a lay-up. Why is he in the NBA…seriously, why?!
Dunleavy ain’t gonna fire himself. Dunleavy the GM belives that Dunleavy the coach is a tortured genius who is misunderstood by his players.
Andy Roeser can’t fire Dunleavy because he doesn’t know who Dunleavy is, nor can he find his way to the Staples Center to watch that strange game they play with the big orange bouncing ball.
Donald Sterling was snoring throughout tonight’s game. He also mumbled something about Elgin and Don Casey a few times in his sleep.
No dear Clippers fans, we are stuck with Dunleavy. He is supreme dictator of Clippers basketball for life.
I heard that Roser’s giving him this season to change some things maybe they might fire him at the end of the year or sometime after next season or after his contract is over. Hey Andy wake up Dunleavy has killed you for 6 seasons now remember we made some bad draft choices and Dunleavy has costed us into the Conference Finals. Dunleavy is not a good coach. I bet Sterling might have to get rid of Roeser then Roeser is not a good team President.
Taylor impresses as a bench catalyst for scoring.. not managing the game with a lead.. Pretty sure he had 2 or 3 turnovers in the beginning of that 4th quarter.
yup you’re right… he brings a bundle of energy of the bench but as a rookie he also does make a lot of mistake. I think Dunleavy favored Taylor because he is much better than Hart at doing fast breaks.
I don’t want to re-hash what was already said, and I agree with pretty much everything said. However…how stupid can you be leaving arguably your best player on the bench in the first 6 minutes of the final quarter, especially when said best player had a MONSTER third quarter? What happened in that final quarter last night was not only heartbreaking, but incredibly mind-numbing. I know we aren’t suppose to question the genius that is Mike Dunleavy…but if you’re Boy Wonder Andy Roeser and Donald Tokowitz Sterling, when is enough enough? When is the continual embarssment of this franchise in front of its faithful fans and a region that doesn’t bleed Purple and Piss going to stop?
You can make all the roster moves you want, but when you have a dictator-type coach (and a very mediocore one at that) running the entire basketball operation, and alienating his best players in the process…it’s hard to win games. I’ve seen teams over the years that have won games in spite of questionable coaching, but Dunleavy’s coaching schemes are so suffocating, it sucks the life out of any player. It’s just that simple…Dunleavy doesn’t trust his players, and the players don’t believe in him.
The shittiest part of all this is that the team is talented enough to win games which means that somewhere around midseason we will probably get it together and win enough games to take us out of the running for a top draft pick. Dunleavy is just attrocious. He has to go.

There was a funny quote from the FSN pregame report: “They (the Clips) played so well, they got Randy Wittman fired”. LOL. Classic.

Dear MDsr:
An 8-0 run by the opponent to start the fourth quarter is generally a good time to call a GD timeout. Fucking ponce.

How people continue to spend $$ to watch this team play is beyond. Yeah they’re talented but they crumble under any pressure and badly coached.

Yeah, a lot of the regular scaplers don’t even show up to Clipper games anymore. I got good 115 seats for $20 each, but I still feel ripped off.

We need a running coach!
Dunleavy tries to run but it’s obvious that its not his style. All he does is say “Go Go Go” which is starting to annoy the hell out of me.
