From Clippers.com:
The Los Angeles Clippers’ Eric Gordon and the New Jersey Nets’ Brook Lopez today were named the Western and Eastern Conference T-Mobile Rookies of the Month, respectively, for games played in January.
Gordon, who edged out Minnesota’s Kevin Love for Western Conference Rookie of the Month, ranked first among rookies in scoring for the month (21.9 ppg), fourth in assists (4.1 apg) and first in minutes (41.1 mpg). In addition, the first-year guard led all Western Conference rookies in free throw percentage (.907 %). Gordon scored a career-high 41 points (13-28 FG, 6-6 FT) vs. the Thunder on Jan. 23, the most points ever scored by a Clippers rookie, besting Al Thornton’s 39-point performance on March 29, 2008.
Gordon’s True Shooting percentage for the month was 57.8%, which also happens to be his season number. Number one among rookies in TS%? That would be DeAndre Jordan.

BD, EG, ZR, Camby… in theory the future is bright. However, there is the dunce factor which negates all almost everything. I’m still on the move kaveman and thorton bandwagon. Thorton’s about as good as he’ll get…and what he is is a good scoring back up at best. Kaveman is too valuable not to trade for a 3 who can really play.
Good for EG.

Suck on that, John Hollinger.

That’s twice that EJ has edged out Kevin Love. Good for him.
Did holinger ever stop to think that Gordon actually merrits those minutes he gets? Dunleavy can just as easy stick Ricky Davis or Fred Jones (proven NBA veterans) at the 2 and bench Gordon because he doesnt do something well.
Problem is, he does almost EVERYTHING well. He’s a man’s man and he plays hard on both sides– (listen up Mr. Thornton)
Gotta love the kid’s energy… congratulations.

Can anyone confirm the rumor that the Clippers are leaving the NBA after this season? They are going to join the Harlem Globetrotters to be the opponent team, they feel that’s the only way they stand a chance of winning a game? Can anyone confirm that?

Hollinger clearly doesn’t watch the games. Were he to watch he’d see that EJ sees more double teams & is the focus of more defensive schemes than all but one rook (Mayo). Think maybe being the focal point of the other teams defense would impact your TS%? What a boob…
