Novak didn’t get much PT in Houston (he played 35 games ea. the previous 2 seasons averaging 7 1/2 min. a game last year) and that wasn’t gonna change – that’s why they let him go for the right to exchange 2nd round picks with the Clippers in 2011 (talk about a damn steal!).

Agree with Kirbs that Novak is a solid player and a good pickup…but only got minutes last night because Camby was out…check out his minutes since Camby and Fat Zach have returned….DUNCELEAVY doesn’t even know how to get him into the game.

Excellent insight KA, but just wanted to point out – the score at end of regulation was 110-110. Clips were down 106-102 when Novak hit a 3pt to make it 106-105. Anyways, here’s the full play-by-play:

Brilliant game recap Kevin, not that previous ones are not. Gives us, who cannot watch, a great insite on how it all played out. Novak, has become a very capable performer off the bench. Did he have an impact with his previous teams like this , or was he never afforded the real oppurtunity.? For mine a very astute pick up by the Clips front office.

Ah the old I rather watch alley-oops than do whats proven to win in the NBA lest I be disappointed bit. We’ve seen this before.

I went to a Knicks game at MSG this year. I can confirm that Knicks fans aren’t having fun watching their team lose.

The only thing appearing to cage Baron Davis was Malik Rose, whom he couldn’t seem to penetrate against.

Maybe Dunleavy is a WRONG coach for this RIGHT team.

This coach treats each game as a baketball clinic. And players as patients(to be treated). I think Baron Davis disagrees with his coach & waiting for change.

Win regular season games first. Then dream about building a championship calibre team.

Kevin, kudos I got more than a few chuckles out of your clever terms in the write up. Various colorful metaphors such as “gluttonous chuckers”, “all-you-can-shoot buffet”, and “unconscionable jumpers” depicted the gist of this game perfectly. I tuned in about half way through the second quarter and never did hear why Marcus Camby was MIA last night. Any info on that?
