- In his third game as a Tulsa 66er, Shaun Livingston chalked up 11 dimes in 30 scoreless minutes. Curiously, Livingston is listed in the box as a forward.
- Interesting nugget from Ramona Shelbourne’s gamer on Tuesday night: “An unofficial stat the Cavaliers have been keeping this season on James is chasedowns – breakaway layups by opposing players that James hustles upcourt to swat away from behind at the last instant. James recorded his 17th such rejection, denying Baron Davis with 6:49 left in the first quarter after Davis intercepted his errant pass and bolted with it.”
- This past week’s events warrant some levity. Head over to Basketbawful for a good laugh, courtesy of Matt McHale.
- Camby still does a lot of community work in Denver. On Friday, he’ll cut the ribbon on the CambyLand Teen Center in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, two miles from the Pepsi Center, where he’s certain to get a nice reception on Saturday.
- Daniel Ewing has put together a decent season for Asseco Prokom Sopot, Poland’s only squad in Euroleague. The team was just eliminated from Euroleague competition, but made it to the Top 16 stage, no small achievement. Ewing averaged 13 points and 2.7 assists per game in Euroleague play. He shares the backcourt with David Logan, who led all of college basketball in scoring as the NCAA Division II Player of the Year in 2004-05 at the University of Indianapolis. Where did Logan play his high school ball? North Central High School in Indy, where Eric Gordon starred.
- Speaking of Indianapolis, sincere condolences to Zach Randolph, who will travel home to attend the funeral of his father, Roger, on Saturday.
