Baron’s ‘charisma’ is already wearing thin because his ‘personality’ can’t even begin to make up for all his deficencies at this point.

Who wants to go watch a Baron Davis led Clipper team that can’t even get past 25 wins because the main horse is so lame his next stop should be the glue factory?

Even tho, Baron is terrible this year, I wouldn’t trade him. He’s the only thing that draws some ppl to the clipper games. He’s the only player w/ “superstar” charisma. Gordon is good but he doesn’t have the personality to attract the media.

No, we’re not. What gives you that idea? Dunleavy, with DTS’ blessing, tried to ship Baron to anyone who would listen a month or so ago. I’m aware of at least 4 trade proposals, including the Maggette swap, Baron (and pieces) for McGrady, Baron (and Kaman) for Kidd, and Baron for Artest & Alston (which only the timing of TMac’s knee injury prevented from going down. Dammit!).

Moving Baron will be re-visited again this summer when there is a better chance to pull off a trade.
