Has a coach ever been fired in the middle of a game?
They just fired the Dunce!
No wait, they just gave him a 4 year 16 million dolar extension instead.
S Novak is shooting out of his mind tonight.
There’s only 4 of us left!!!
I think alot of them are on hold with the Suicide hotline
It sure is nice to be on the winning end of a 23 point second half turnaround for a change.
The first half was puke city and if it wasn’t for Novak with his BINGO!s the game might have gone out of reach completely.
So great to see Gordon turn it around after the break, Novak staying hot, Kaman making most of his shots (still too many TOs!), Thornton playing another strong game, Z-Bo chipping in, Freddy, too, and Baron dishing out 20 dimes instead of forcing his shot.
If we lost this game I would need the Suicide Hotline right about now.
Thank you, Steve Novak, for saving my life.
Hehe good stuff.
good to see the clips play well and win… i just hope this doesn’t hurt us in the lottery. it’s rubio/griffin or bust for us.
I hear you!I’m a NW Sonic/OKC fan turned ClipperFan- Arnovitz is the best, as is this site.I also love Tower of Power ,Lydia Pense&Cold Blood &WAR!Keep the Faith.
I f’in love how Vujacic calls himself the Machine, please. Steve Novak is unconscious. He’s another example of why I think MDSr. is an underrated executive. He picked up Novak for a second-round pick.
Move to the front office full time, Mike, and hire Eddie Jordan. This team CAN win.
What coaches are available out there and who would be a best fit for the Clipps. I think Flip Saunders, Avery Johnson, Terry Porter, Jeff VanGundy, Hubie Brown, are all semi available and working as consultants. Somehow I think Sam Cassell would need a few years working as a coaches assistant. Anyone else? If I was GM I’d give Flip another chance.
Oh yeah Sam Mitchell, Marc Iavaroni, Sam Vincent, Eddie Jordan and Mo Cheeks, Reggie Theus, are also available.
Flip Saunders is a classic choker, never able to get past the Conference Finals. That being said, I’d happily stall in the Western Finals for the next couple of years compared to 07-08 and 08-09.
I find it amusing that the only ones who are seen as available for coaching gigs are ones who have already been fired. Everyone has to have a first gig…like Riley in Los Angeles, and Van Gundy in NY, and Jackson in Chicago, and Sloan in Utah….this is what management is paid to figure out.
As for the rejoicing on last night’s game, well it was the Wizards, and we were home, and they were missing their best player (Yes Caron Butler is better than Gilbert)if you can’t win that game, then theoretically you can’t win any game.
Sloan’s first gig was Chicago…
You’re right and I stand corrected….but the point is the same…and BTW at that time Utah hired him he hadn’t headcoached in 6 years…I’m sure he wasn’t on the top of anyone’s list.
Avery Johnson would be the best coach available.
Avery Johnson is a horrible fit for this team. He ran Devin Harris out of Dallas because he micromanages every single play. Somehow, I don’t think Baron would thrive in a system like that…
Avery Johnson is an uptight control freak who makes Dunleavy look like Don Nelson in comparison. Whoever thinks AJ would be a good fit for this team is nuts.
Stian I agree with you again…shocking….what we need is new blood, not a retread who has already been fired, like DUNCEleavy was twice before.
