Can’t believe how dead the board is on the night of the draft. Are that many people distracted by the death of Michael Jackson? I’m guessing the Draft had disastrous TV ratings.
i wanted to go to L.A Live!!!
how great would it be if we changes our red unis
for the colors on the hat blake is wearing
WOOAH
SOMEONE MAKE IT HAPPEN!
i’m kinda disappointed that the clips didnt buy or trade for a second-rounder for budinger/mills/blair to add some depth.
that said, i can’t wait to get my new #32 jersey! i love how clippers.com is advertising this 32% off sale showing a bunch of griffin’s jerseys and a promo code of 32griffin, then excludes all blake griffin items.
I am also disappointed that the Clips didn’t do something to get a late first or early second…there were many defensive wings available at those times. But it would cost them money that they could’ve used for a free agent. Darius Miles and Singleton are available on the market and we’ll find out what happens on wed. Not sure about the strength of their knees, but its a possibility.
Summer League, July 10 -19th at Thomas & Mack center and Cox Pavilion on the UNLV campus. I’m going to be there on Monday, July 13th for the Clippers and for $25.00 you get to watch some 5 or 6 games that day.
In Free Agency I think we have one need, a back up 2/3….my top 3 candidates: Von Wafer, Rodney Carney, Ime Udoka

If Rodney Carney is available, we should look into that. I thought Minnesota was going to resign him after last year. He’d be infinitely better than Ricky Davis.
I’ll be there on the 13th to see the Clip and Lakers. I really want to see the new kid work with Gordon, DeAndre and Taylor. I assume they’ll all be there.
My girl and I will be taking in at least 1 clipper game. The PHX one looks good, but MEM will be there during that span too. If I get a look at the youngsters together I will report back in full, with some video.
If anyone will be in Vegas during the same time period let me know and we can drink our losses away.
Any truth to Memphis trading marko milicic + Greg Buckner for Zach Randoplh on draft night, but Sterling blocked it?

I would do that trade in a minute. Why would Sterling block?

Buckner averaged 2 points and 2 rebounds last season. You want to give up a sure 20-10 guy for that? Milicic is the poster boy for busted picks. I’m confused.
Man, I just read an article on ESPN.COM entitled, ‘WHO IS FRANK MATRISCIANO AND WHY IS HE TRYING TO KILL BLAKE GRIFFIN?’ This kid is an animal. The Frank guy has the sickest training regime I’ve ever heard about and 7 out of 10 guys quit after the first few days. Griffin is there every single day for weeks and weeks. Even after he was a lock at the number 1 pick he kept coming back for more. As I was reading I kept trying to envision Chris Kaman trying to keep up with Griffin running up this sand dune carrying a 40 vest and it’s a joke. Kaman wouldn’t last 10 minutes in Griffin’s world and you wait and see how this kid demolishes this 50 million dollar head case in practices. Kaman needs to go. Like this crazy guy Matrisciano says in the article…’There’s a storm coming from Oklahoma and nobody knows it yet’.
Why would anyone want Milicic? I’d rather have a sure 20-10 guy even without the defense. I don’t get why Sterling would do this trade either. Am I missing something? What are Buckner’s career stats?

Theres 2 reasons you get Darko Milicic:
1. His contract dies after this season. Major bonus.
2. He’s 7 feet tall, a natural shot blocker and gets rebounds. Thats about the only requirements to be a starting center in this league.
Mainly its because his contract expires after the season and theres still some room for growth in the right environment for him. not saying we have the magic formula or anything, but the contract relief alone is worth trading for. Also gives Blake free reign at the 4.
Just looked it up and Buckner averaged 2 points and 2 rebounds last season. Where’s the mistake passing on this guy?

Your right! We want to get good players in trade not salary dumps….we’re not NJ or Phoenix, we want to win!

they are expiring contracts…we’d be giving zach up to make room under the cap for a super star pick up in the summer of 2010 (when coupled with camby’s deal that is also set to expire)…plus it would make room for blake to get some PT right off the bat, like what happened when we traded cat last year and gordon was given more opportunities…i’d do that trade in a heart beat, zach’s contract is terrible and he will stifle the development of blake and thus our entire team
I dunno I think maybe the starting lineup of Gordon, Griffin, Camby, B Davis, and Novak with Mike Taylor, Thornton, Kaman, R Davis, and Randolph coming off the bench would be pretty sick. Probably won’t happen but I do think the depth is pretty crazy.

So, K, in reference to your question…will Blake be playing summer ball in Vegas? Did I miss his answer?

Novak can’t guard anybody. He’s like a DH…only DT…Designated Three pointer. I like him he’s just got those white boy moves.
