i am a jazz fan just visiting this blog and i want to tell you the clips look awesome next year and the next. honestly, i think lebron, if he were smart, would go to LA. davis, iverson, lebron, griffin, kaman?! with gordon, thorton and ricky davis off the bench…awesome.

Agree with Gordon for President – AI was poison in Detroit. If that’s not reason enough to pass, it is difficult to see how his style fits here with the current players and Dunleavy as coach.

If AI is signed, this is further proof that Dunleavy subscribes to the Dan Snyder/Jerry Jones model of team building — sign a bunch of talented players without considering how they fit together as a unit.

On Facebook, Ralph Lawler says that the reports are exaggerated, and the Clips have been talking to a lot of different players, including AI. From Facebook:

Are you kidding? Did you not just see what he did to DET? “I’d rather retire than come off the bench”. AI is finished, he’d only be taking minutes from EJ and, less of a deal but still pretty lame, BD.

Holy Crap, Clippers are signing AI? I love AI, but he’s worse for Dunleavy’s system than Barron Davis. Good GM move if they get him.

Yeah, it’s better than last year, but not like TV. Resolution improved a little, but the frame rate what you get from internet streaming. A little fuzzy and blurry when people are running.

Yea, the other Marcus Williams is a G/F who i think played for SA and IND and was here for like 2 weeks and dropped last season.

I’ve been secretly pining for the Clippers to sign THE REAL Marcus Williams from UCONN, who fed Rudy Gay and Emeka Okafor on the break. He’s a pass-first guard who looked like he would be taking over NJ from Jason Kidd before Kidd got traded to Dallas. I thought last season Nelly was a perfect fit for him, especially with Monta out but he never let the kid play. He ended up being another resident in the Nelly doghouse. He got dropped by GS at the beginning of the year and played in Puerto Rico for a stint. It looked like he might never come back.

After last nights game, he should be on someones radar. If Memphis passes on him, and I dont think they will because he already knows how Rudy Gay likes to eat and sets the table for him, we should snap him up. The kid can ball.
