In more definitive transaction news involving the Clippers, L.A. has offered a coaching position to famed skills guru Tim Grgurich in hopes of convincing Grgurich to walk away from longtime boss George Karl. The Nuggets are working to convince Grgurich to stay.
In NBA circles, the notoriously taciturn Grgurich is considered among the foremost luminaries in the coaching world. Players hold him in the highest esteem. He holds an annual training camp for NBA pros in Las Vegas each summer. The event is strictly word-of-mouth, and the media aren’t allowed anywhere near Clark County to cover it.
Grgurich would be a genius hire by the Clips, and a further signal the franchise is moving in the right direction, provided ownership comes to its senses on the matter of Allen Iverson.

My 2nd least fav coach, George Karl. I hope this guy doesn’t coach like him. Maybe he’s trying to learn what not to do in NBA and Dunleavy is his holy grail.

You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone in the league over the past quarter-decade, from Gary Peyton to veteran coaches, who don’t think he’s the best fundamentals man in the business.

Good to hear, I don’t doubt it. Since Dunleavy hired this guy and one of his old assistants, who is being replaced?

This potential hire is about 9 years too late. Should have had a coach like that for the first group of young kids coming up with the clippers.

Ramon Sessions… 44 points, franchise record for assists… what more do you need?

Wait a minute. Am I missing something? The Clippers have offered a coaching position? Dunleavy is not the answer? Wow. Sterling is really changing his ways from being the labeled, “the worst owner in professional sports.”

sadly it’s not a head coaching position.

Hope he comes.
LOL Antonio Harvey and Rick Kamla talking about smoking pot at about :30 in 2nd quarter.
First time I’ve watched summer league here… the announcing is entertaining.
Blake looking great, surprise…Taylor looking pretty controlled tonight.

I AM WATCHING BLAKE GRIFFIN DESTROY ON NBA BROADBAND. He has 12 pts and 11 rebounds in the first half against Memphis. The announcers are calling him the Lebron James of power forwards and a sure fire superstar. I can’t even believe some of the things he’s doing on the court…3 monster jams, 2 ally-oop jams and a crazy full court dash and block against Thabeet. WOW!

I’ve heard it a few times now that the Clips going after Tim Grgurich is to also help lure Allen Iverson. Iverson and Grgurich apparently were extremely close in Denver.
