Personally I'm not convinced that Iverson would put fans in the seats. He's not the player he once was and his reputation has taken a hit. I have to believe that a player that could actually make this team better would have a better impact on ticket sales than Iverson. I've been sold on Sessions since he put up that flurry of big stat lines at the end of his rookie campaign, and reading articles about his strengths and weaknesses (thanks Kevin) has convinced me further. This is a good opportunity for the Clippers to show that they are serious...we'll see. Thornton is a guy that would be great in that 2nd-unit scorer position.

We really had a hard time scoring the ball last season with our 2nd unit. We did not have a go-to scorer at all. Nobody to create their own shot. When it was time for our starters to get a rest, this is when the opposing teams made their run, since we didn't have any firepower at all off the bench. We need someone who can bring a spark off the bench. If Iverson is willing to be that man, I don't see the problem with signing him. He can rack up points in a hurry. Last time I checked in the NBA, the team with the most points usually wins. Bring AI in. He's exactly what we need for our 2nd unit. Hes at least shown in his career that he can lead a losing team to a playoff berth multiple times. He did it with the Hornets and again with GS. AI on the other hand had his best years with Larry Brown and even they fought like cats and dogs about every little thing. I think Baron knows his best games come is when he makes others better, and with the young guys here with so much potential, I think he'll be working hard to set them up they way they need to be set up. I think Baron will adapt to not having to be the primary scorer much better than a guy like AI. Honestly, I still have hope for Baron. I understand Sterlings perspective but I dont think he's really considering all the finer details of what adding AI actually means on the floor. I have lots of love for AI but he just seems like a square peg for the round hole we have on the roster.
