From Clippers.com:
Los Angeles Clippers today waived guards Jerel McNeal and Anthony RobersonIn two preseason games played with the Clippers, McNeal averaged 3.5 points in 4.5 minutes per game. Roberson tallied 1.3 points and 5.3 minutes in three preseason games played.
The Clippers’ training camp roster currently stands at 15 players.
Kareem Rush is the lone training camp invitee still standing. It’s been mentioned before that Dunleavy typically carries a 14 man roster into the season, so it will be interesting to see if Rush can stick. Ricky Davis isn’t exactly what you would call “dependable,” so there’s a good chance Dunleavy will keep Rush around for added insurance as a perimeter shooter.

If Kareem Rush’s last game is any indication of what he can contribute to the Clips, I’d love to seem him stick around. AND, he was the one who game Blake the assist for the dunk on Mbenga! He deserves at least a short term contract for that video jewel.

In his rookie season with the Lakers, I remember seeing Kareem playing and doing this shimmy-juke move and blow around his defender to hit a clutch 3.
I wish I could find a Youtube clip of it because it was pretty impressive to see. Always thought hed get a lot further than he has in the league. Would love to see him be part of our squad.

i really hope we sign kareem …yeah hes pretty one dimensional and he normally does horribly when he tries to do anything besides shoot 3s but …. if i know our team and our damn dry spells where we cant make a damn bucket its always good to have someone like kareem around..

Clippers did a great job by acquiring Butler, Smith and Telfair. Now they have to do a far better job in trying to trade Kaman, Ricky and Thornton. They can fetch few more productive players in return.
Clippers are not going to re-sign above players. Then why not trade them now. They’ll fit in somewhere else.
Keeping Camby & Skinner makes no sense. They should keep Kareem Rush. Hopefully they’ll.
Addition of Griffin, Butler, Smith, Telfair and Rush would make this team competitive. And evolving Gordon and DeAndre will keep this team in good shape. But need to make a bold move to get rid of chemistry spoilers such as Kaman, Ricky and Thornton.

You are high dude.
Cambys $9.5M falls off the books next year. His value skyrockets as the season counts down. He’s also better and cheaper than Kaman. We can either get a major talent at the deadline for him, or we can use his cap relief to put us in an excellent position for next years Free Agents.
Keeping him makes a lot of sense.

OK, I’m high.
Tell me, what did we really get from Camby? We did a favor to Denver for no apparent reason. Dunleavy just panicked after Brand incident. Denver sensed this vulnerable situation, and dumped his salary on us.
To be better and respectable in this league we should stop becoming only ROOKIE GROOMERS and RETIREE EASY CHAIRS.

Oh I dunnoo… something along the lines of 10 pts, 11+ rebs, 51% FG, and over 2 blocks a game?
And let’s not forget he sets a good example to the youngsters, especially Deandre.. so I would say that $9.5 mil contract is worth it.

And yes, Kareem should get a spot in the team over Ricky… though I do think it’s unfair that many people characterize him as a thug and a lazy bum. He’s just lost his basketball mojo, no need to villainize him.

Just to clear some things up, Camby makes 7.65 million this year. Carry on.

My bad, I was using figures from a GM game im playing. Hes worth $9.5m there and I thought that was accurate.
Doesnt he have incentives that could push that up?
Still think its worth keeping Camby, both from a financial perspective and from a player perspective.

Either way he comes off the books next year, which is very important in the FA race. Get Serious needs to start learning about contract management.

i dont know if Ricky Davis can really play any more horrible than he did last year…
so i mean the only direction he can go is up
haha
i say we try with our current set of guys but we need an extra ball handler thats not MARDY COLLINS…hes too slow and not a quick enough pg
if we start off bad then start making moves quickly to salvage the season

Camby is also an enticing expiring contract

Camby & Ricky are both in their final contracts and come off the books. As far as K. Rush, what the census seems to be is that he’s a great 3 point threat & that’s it. While we already have Novak for that, I do think Kareem is a better option than R. Davis but only, and seriously only if we buy out Davis. Butler can play the 2 if need to at times. This is also another reason why we entertained the idea of Sessions because he played the 2 at Milwaukee when Redd went out but that point is mute now. Let’s keep what we have now, we’re not a top team in the west, 8th spot if everything clicks for us and doesn’t for some of those few teams close to us at best. Then we can play around with money in the offseason & for for someone like Joe Johnson who can play the 2 & 3.
