Best play of last night was Rickey Davis banking in a 3 and seeing Dunleavy’s face. His 4 minutes last night were probably his last. Lets see if they run tonight with the Suns.
Ricky Davis is amazingly horrible
id rather Kareem Rush get his minutes and i wonder if Dunleavy sees this before its too late
(yes its 1 game) but the guy is horrible……
kareem is versatile and can do more things than just take ill advised 3s so we better give him some damn tonight
and personally i feel we should win this game…..we played better the 2nd half last night….
and had it not been for Kobe Bryant we probably could have won yesterday….
the Suns have no Kobe on their squad and as long as they dont make Jason Richardson be that guy
then we are good……
I agree with Charles Barkley and there is no reason why we shouldnt finish 2nd in the Pacific Division……

You guys kill me. It’s one game into the season. Let’s see how the first month goes before we start pulling out our pitchforks.
I mean c’mon, the first four games are Lakers, Suns, Jazz and Mavericks. Not exactly an easy way to start the season.
I would have taken the shot too if I were Davis. I think he’s a good player on the right team and system. He averaged 40% from 3 the 2 years before he got to the Clippers.
I cannot believe how they lost this game. Oh yes I can. Who was making the big shot at the end of the game? Eric Gordon. Gordon is a great shooter, but he’s a SHORT 2-guard. He cannot create off the dribble. Why? I just don’t get it. I swear, I haven’t been this down about a Clipper start in a long time. I just don’t believe these guys can be even a .500 team. Sigh.
same ole story.
Clippers have the lead and cant sustain it.
and its like teams are like “Nigga its the Clippas we aint losing to the CLippas”
and they just turn it on when they need to ….
how many times has this happened?
I mean really…..the Clippers should have beat the Suns…they have a horrible team and we should have won…..
im fucking pissed…..we had this game won and we had to win it so the fans and the players could believe now its over….really…..its the same problems….Clippers have a lead….and choke in the 4th they cannot close the damn game out ….and they cant get a good shot off at the end…..an air ball to finish it …
poor Clipper fans
its over this early……and if they lose their next game….ima just stop watching them
this shit is annoying
saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame ole story…
dont you guys get tired of this?
how many times have the Clippers had a lead and can never get a team off their back by extending the lead to double digits? tie….other team SCORES WITH EASE WHENEVER IT COUNTS…and the Clippers get up a horrible shot (when they do get one off)
That was a winnable game. Nothing has been changed from the coaching. The Clippers should have killed phoenix. Fuck that morale victory shit. The Clippers have a better team and its not being utilized. Deandre and Novak should have been put into the game. Pure Disappointment at this point.

EXACTLY
Novak in in the last minute after being out the whole game….really???
Chris Kaman played good dont get me wrong but when we have to go in to a 7 foot center who loses the ball whenever he has it for more than 2 seconds is not what i want to do in the 4th quarter….
The Clippers havent won in Utah ever or something right
if they dont win saturday its over…..and ima cancel my cable (to watch Clipper games is the only reason i got it) its really not worth it to have this same shit happen
that they cant just WIN is annoying…..they should beat a sorry Suns team…..
that they cant just close teams out…they cant “pour it on” they let teams stay close and then just lose at the end…..
i give the guy on this blog credit cause tomorrow he will probably have a wonderfully written piece on the game again but really whats the point……
Still just the 2nd game, can’t really judge the team in 2 games. But Dunleavy again showed his ability to draw up a clutch play in the end, not that they should have been that close to begin with.
Kaman again looked like he was moving better. Phoenix couldn’t handle his size. Not sure why Jordon didn’t play some too. I guess Camby got a lot of minutes.
The Clippers usually play well against Dallas, they’ll probably get a win on Friday.
Ehh. I’m as close to being over this team as I can get. They have two unwinnable games coming up and an 0-4 start will pretty much guarantee I’m not going to any games until at least march.
They didn’t fool me with the bullshit preseason. First home opener I’ve missed in a long time.
I wish it was apathy. I’d give my arm for apathy. Instead it’s just bitter disgust.
dunleavy needs to trade off a Ricky Davis, and Brian Skinner.. i mean im sure they can get a 2nd round pick for both of them…or if u throw in Marcus Camby in the deal LA can get a solid forward.
activate Mardy Collins and play Jordan and Novak more!!!!

If Ricky didn’t have a guaranteed deal, he’d have already been cut. Ricky had an out clause after last year and didn’t use it because he knew no one wanted him or would take him. Ricky can’t be traded. No one will take his salary unless we sweetened it by giving up a pick, not expecting one in return. Same with Skinner, though he’s paid less.
This team just does not know how to win, they get to the front and then are startled by the headlights. 4 – 0 start a few seasons ago amounted to nothing, so a 0-3 or 0-4 start may not be the end of the world.
the clippers will continue to fall in the 4th quarter like they have since they had sam cassell and elton brand to seal the deal. who is gonna step up and be the guy to take charge in the 4th quarter? it seems like they’re all scared to take control. this game should have easily been won, but once again we see the lead slip away and unconfident look of the clippers become evident to the opponent.
Why is it when whenever we have one play left, dunleavy draws the dumbest play ever? i dont think dunleavy even draws up a real play…that or the team is so over him that they completely disregard everything he says.. because every time its inbound….dribble down the clock to 1 or 2 seconds and throw up a wild ass contested shot….or passing it to camby behind the arc for another wild shot. i cant handle watching these losses week after week
its ridiculous how long dunleav’s leash is. his play calling is terrible, everyone can see it. FIRE HIM PLEASE
Get off dunleavys case cuz it wasn’t him missing the free throws, personally I was at the game and was very disappointed with Gordon, he missed a couple of layups and it felt like he shot 10% FT as of now let’s just be happy no one else has gone down with an injury, we might start 4-0 but could easily be 4-4 after that and take it from there.
Did we make 1 technical foul free throw shot? I seriously don’t think so. And every player from Gordon to Butler to Davis tried and missed. That’s the game, the freebie game.

Clips are looking solid dudes. And its not just one guy whos on….they are sharing the load nicely
Posted on October 28th, 2009 at 7:58 pm
This team is playing as if pre-season never happened.
Except for Marcus Camby who is having a great game. So far.
Other than that, the biggest Clipper positive is that Ricky Davis has not gotten any PT. Yet.
I smell another L. This team has no confidence and no swagger with Blake gone.
Posted on October 28th, 2009 at 9:04 pm
Missing 12 FTs and Steve Nash taking over in the 4th = Clipper loss.
This is gonna get ugly before Blake comes back……………

Can’t take this team until otherwise this team is a waste of NBA space ‘it’s the Clippers ” has offcially been warranted.
Posted on October 28th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
No Sam Cassell, no one to take charge, no wins, it’s that simple.

Just got back from the game. FREE THROWS? The Clips should have won by 15. FREE THROWS?
KAMAN looked good. They were going to him alone in 4th quarter.
BARON played with some fire. Has to make 12 foot shots. FREE THROWS?
GORDON missed 3 point blank lay ups after being fouled. I feel like his game will come.
AL THORTON was lost most of the game.
CAMBY was a stud.
TELFAIR got schooled by the Suns back-up pg the first half. He has some game.
FREE THROWS? C’mon man!
Where is DJ? I think he could have helped tonight against Frye.
Lousy loss but maybe they’ll learn a few things like…FREE THROWS!
