great, no game thread and we’re down 10-2. Are we playing an All-Star team or something, time for reality to set in & for the Clippers to take them down!
Sabby is balling…I loved his documentary Through the Fire…we need to lock this guy up for a few more seasons. He’s playing extremely well for us and he might improve his jumper as time goes on.
i completely agree, I think hes head and shoulders above the second string point guards in the rest of the nba save for farmar and maybe a couple others. The only thing that is keeping him from being a starting quality point guard is, like you said, his J
Yeah b/c clearly we won from Butlers astonishing shooting performance. Not to mention we’re playing terrible teams after playing 4 playoff caliber teams.
I agree completely, he’s a step-up defensively but as a starting SF in this league he is not “starter good” which I think or hope would be the #1 position we would go for in the off-season. That being said, Thorton looked good tonight as long as ‘not the old Craig Smith Clipper’ but ‘Craig Smith 2.0′ is playing on our team. He was a monster.
I’d love to see KA’s line-up analysis after this game, I disagree that a 3rd PG is a need right now because Telfair was THE BEST BACK-UP PG EVER IN CLIPPER HISTORY!
Can we sign Craig Smith to a new contract now, that guy has impressed be as the “work horse” Dunleavy used to count on FElton at a much lower cost. Not the same player whatsover but he’s the hustle bustle guy at hopefully a reasonable 7th man salary. He is key in my opinion. PLUS, Bassy IS the best back-up we PG we’ve had in forever. I’m curious as to see what KA’s line-up analysis would rate for this as our 2nd team brought us back in the game & got the win for us.
As for Butler, I’m glad he showed up in the 4th quarter as a scoring option, he missed his stroke again before that and has missed his stroke a lot before that as well so he may be an upgrade but the SF is a position we need help in.

For all the AT hate, butler takes just as many ill advised shots.

Except he’s a better shooter than AT, and demands more of the defenses attention from outside. He’s also a better defender.

Very odd feel to the game. Clippers playing with their heads up their ass and can’t get a stop.

Strong win clippers go 3 wins strong and avoid a 4th quarter meltdown. Dunleavy is getting production. Time for NO.

Yeah, good point. Butler’s an upgrade, but he’d still be the weakest of the starters (BD, EJ, Butler, Griffin, Kaman)

activate Mardy Collins!
i think a 3rd PG will be a good idea because both BD and Sabby both foul alot depending on who they are playing

I always thought Telfair’s nick name was “Bassy”?!
Great production from the second team. Rhino and Bassy were solid off season pick ups.

Although it was bit closer than I would have like to seen, it was nonetheless a great game. Just a solid collaborative effort by the whole team.
I loved how our bench came through for us tonight. Way to go CLIPPERS!
