I’m as surprised as D.J. Foster that Eric Gordon got the nod for the NBA All-Star Slam Dunk-In. He’s a better candidate for a 3-point shootout, but ClipperBlog reader Clipper Derrick unearthed some footage from Gordon’s body of work, which you can see below.

I tend to agree with D.J. There’s some impressive stuff here, but Gordon is a dunking minimalist at heart:

He hasn’t done any dunk contest type dunks in games but who knows. No one ever saw Spud Webb do those dunks in games. Doc Rivers said he never saw him dunk in practice before the dunk contest.

the 3rd dunk is SICK :O Gordon isnt a flashy dunker in game but he does have a 40 inch vert and a 6″9 wingspan so he has the tools for sure. Maybe he will suprise us I doubt he would agreed to do it if he was gonna be embarrassed like someone else on our team (1st name rhymes with sticky and icky).

Maybe the NBA would rather start to market him as an athletic scorer / dunking / young star than a shooting threat ?

If he were to catch fire , I feel he would go far or win the 3 point shoot out.

Offensive foul?? Lame–that’s why the NBA is better than college ball. You should never be called an offensive foul for posterizing someone.
