This is totally unrelated to the game, and quite an old article… but read the caption in the pic of BD and Dunleavy (its a long article, so you have to scroll down).

Clippers should win today. They’ll probably be playing like it’s the NBA finals after that loss to the Nets.

They just better hope that New Jersey wins over 9 games so they won’t be remembered as a team that lost to them.

What do you think was said at the players meeting? “Lets play like crap and lose this one as badly if not worse than New Jersey.” what is going on?

Camby is the man playing with the bruised ribs. Same guy that gave it his all with the flu. Kaman, the “all-star”, has a sprained ankle.

As a true DUNCEleavy hater this is a beautiful game to watch…..even if they did just cut it to 9…..losing back to back to Nets and Wolves….love it…if they don’t fire DUNCE tonight, they never will…and Cavs/Bulls/Hawks coming up, I’ll lay 40 points on the combined score of those 3 games….

I don’t know what’s worse. Dunleavy remaining our head coach or getting blown out by double digits back to back to the 2 worst teams in the NBA. I

Dunleavy’s a bad coach but an even worse GM. He built this team like he built his wardrobe….a bunch of pieces that don’t match.

  12. avatar Newport Clipper Said,

    Dear Donald,

PLEASE fire Dunleavy. Your team is losing games it should win. You have some great pieces to build around. You have Blake Griffin next year. You have salary cap space to get a great FA. You were willing to pay before (Baron Davis, Elton Brand, Gilbert Arenas, Kobe Bryant…you offered legit $$ to all of them), so we know that you will again.

If you want your team to be relevant in Los Angeles, put in a coach that the players will respect. I will go to more games. My friends will go to more games. Show you understand the situation…fire Dunleavy. It will send a message to the rest of the league that the Clippers are different than they were in the past. And, you have a once-in-a-decade shot to get a premier free agent. Someone will sign, if Dunleavy is gone.

    Thank you!

without kaman we have no scoring, baron and thornton were the only ones and that’s not enough. We get a new coach we still gotta score the ball, I don’t see us winning many games unless something is done about this. Lots of scorers out there I say we make a deal.

  15. avatar Clipped12 Said,

That’s the problem clippafan4life. We’re always looking to change the players. We have some crazy talent on this team, but we have the worst coach in the NBA. That spells recipe for disaster. The players have given up on Dunleavy. If that isn’t obvious to you from these past 2 games, then I don’t know what else to tell you. There’s only been one thing that’s been constant with this team. And that’s Dunleavy. He is and always will be the problem with this team. Get Dunleavy out of here and I guarantee you that this team will start to take off.

  16. avatar Buck Nasty Said,

Just went through the Daily Dime chat. It was so horrible having to witness you go through that DJ, with me already knowing the outcome. The talk of how the Clips needed the win. How they needed a big halftime talk. The ‘right back in it!’ from Baron’s big 3rd quarter. And then the sad collapse of the comeback in the final minutes.

These may have been the worst two losses I’ve been apart of as a Clippers fan. Expectations rose to the point where we thought the team could beat bad teams. But now…they can barely compete with anyone (going off these two games). Next thing you know, Baron will be back to totally disinterested, and everyone else will get pissed about their so-called leader moping around.

  18. avatar Formerly Section 113 Said,

Ok Baron had a great 3rd quarter, but was as responsible as anyone else for the 1st half debacle….he is a piece of crap…..he couldn’t care less about winning….still offering Clips +40 for the next 3 games.

And I must say I am enjoying watching the bandwagon get overloaded since I started the DUNCEleavy back in the playoff year when he continued to use Q. Ross even though it was obvious that he was nothing more than a D-League player.
