It is this kind of stuff that gives me hope. Last week I had decided that I could no longer be Clips fan as long as Dunleavy was the coach. I love him as a GM, looks at what he has potentially built, and its guys like Jordan and Gordon that should remind us of that. Essentially, Jordan can replace Camby (he will need the experience the rest of the year for next year), so Dunleavy can now shop Camby, or at least use him as trade bait to get FA’s interested and then resign him at the end of the year… Things are finally coming together. Record wise, the rest of the year will be difficult, but as any loyal Clips fan says, there is always next year…
Who knew that this would be the last game with Dunleavy as our head coach? As for the Isiah Thomas rumor….I sure hope that isn’t true and it’s just a writer talking out of his a** to get attention. The Clippers can’t be this stupid…………right?
I’d like to see DJ contributing more on offense. He obviously can finish a play so if he can develop a few power moves that would be awesome. The less dribbling the better, he got away with 3 dribbles and caught it near the corner so that is impressive. We get him the ball in deep and we could see a lot more of this I’m sure.
if they bring in isiah, i will not only give up on them forever, but will pull for them to lose every game ever by the most points possible until the end of time.
Isiah is enjoying a succesful program at FIS, please read the following..
BOCA RATON — FIU coach Isiah Thomas wore sneakers with his suit while coaching in Saturday’s game against Florida Atlantic.
The Golden Panthers could have used their coach — an NBA Hall of Famer — in an FIU uniform as well.
FIU could not keep up with FAU’s sizzling shooting and fell 106-88 in front of an FAU Arena-record 2,916 boisterous fans clad in red T-shirts.
Im glad that Dunleavy is sticking around in some capacity, hopefully as GM. He might not have been the greatest coach but he did a lot of good that a lot of people seem to forget. This team is still his baby and I hope he brings in a coach that will help them realize their collective potential that I KNOW this team is capable of. All I know of dunleavy is what ive seen on tv and during interviews and he comes off as a very likeable guy, if he truly is , I will never know. I do understand the move to relieve him of his coaching duties but the man has been around basketball his entire life, and the clippers would be foolish to lose his voice and knowledge completely. I also loved the fact that he called BILL SIMMONS a JOKE. And if the rumor is true about Isiah….adios clipperville
In this summer’s offer to Lebron, include this in the contract:
Lebron has the rights to pick the coach, and offer a contract up to five million.
Lebron has the right to offer contracts to other players (within the cap), and make trade offers, as well as make the Clippers draft choices.
He would, essentially, be the assistant GM. Yes, bizarre and revolutionary, and out of the box, and it will likely be criticized, but let me ask you- why not?
From Sterling’s perspective- getting Lebron means much more revenue, so do whatever it takes.
From Lebron’s pov- he would be the first ever player/GM, and get to name his coach and co-pilots in the greatest city in the league. Why wouldn’t he jump at this?
From the Clippers fans pov- wouldn’t you love to see this?
From the prospect of wins/losses. Look, you sign Lebron, I don’t care who is coaching, or who else he brings in. This team is a playoff team, and automatic contender, and that’s more than they can say now.
Pull the trigger. Do it Sterling! Have some guts on this one

that’s not good enough…. why dont you offer lebron a 20% stake in the team when he retires? The value of the franchise would double overnight, and Sterling would still make money.
I dont think this is that crazy…. You’d have to be creative because he probably cant be an owner and a player at the same time, but Stern would do anything to get Lebron to a bigger market.

You can’t offer Lebron a stake in the company, it’s against the rules, Clippers would get in big trouble.

How is that different from what he is doing now? Plus wherever he goes, he’s gonna get whatever and whoever he wants!
this is why i get happy anytime DJ gets playing time…
he has the potential…size …strength …defensive abilities to become one of the top centers in the league its up to the Clippers to make sure he gets there ….

Pretty darn close to a travel but he recovered his clumsiness nicely with that authoritative jam.

Fox News also says Obama is a socialist. I tend not to take anything they say seriously.
