he will not have a spot next year with oden ($6.8 mil) and pryzybilla ($7.5 mil) coming back. they still have aldridge and are excited about cunningham’s potential. hopefully we can bring him back.

I will look back on this trade as a great trade if the following happens…

1) Dunleavy trades Al Thornton for a draft pick. Telfair opts out of his last year.

2) Donald Sterling wants to open his check book and get a big name in the off-season to fill the 3

3) In addition, Clips are able to sign a healthy Travis Outlaw regardless over the cap space due to trade rules. He can fit in the rotation.

Now you have Baron-EJ-Big name 3-BG-Kaman with Outlaw, an experienced Deandre, and Rhino (hopefully) on the bench

If this is what Dunleavy/Sterling had in mind then I am ok. If not there better be a good plan B or else that was dumb.

Also a Blazer fan. I agree with this post. However, I hope that Marcus stays in Portland. He sounds like a great guy and a smart player. He also defends!!!! Which is HUGE. I’m happy to hear he will be missed. I’m sure he will appreciate this. Just know that he will be treated very well here and be very much appreciated here also!
Marcus used to play with Andre Miller in Denver and also played with Juwan Howard so he will hopefully feel at home soon.

I think Outlaw will play starting at the end of this month. He was slotted to start playing for Portland on 2/21. He is athletic and a clutch shooter. He was very popular among the Trailblazers. He is Brandon Roy’s best friend. Roy is sad that he was traded.
The Blazers needed a center BADLY or they wouldn’t have traded either Blake or Outlaw. And that is with log jams at both of these 2 positions. So both players were valued and it’s the expiring contracts that called their numbers more than anything…and the need for a center.

I think Camby will stay in Portland. He said he’s happy to be there. He wants to be where he is wanted and he is DEFINITELY wanted in Portland. By the fans AND the management team. Paul Allen takes care of his players so hopefully Camby will be happy and well treated. And he will get to play in the post season..playoffs. Got to be happy for him right?

This is decent leverage for the clippers if camby really wants to come back. No offense but he’s not worth 9+ million. He is 35, and if he is desperate to get home to LA we may be willing to take less in the summer to get bak to LA.

No way Camby comes back in the off-season because of the way the organization handled this trade. Had they approached him first and said re-signing him in the summer is their goal, possibly. But the way Camby found out is going to spur him to give the Clips the middle-finger IF they do indeed extend an offer in July.
