The Clippers worked out a slew of prospects today at their facility in Playa Vista:
One guy who I think the Clips should take into serious consideration who seems like he should have been here today is Lance Stephenson from Cincinnati. He’s an extremely explosive guard who reminds me a lot of Tyreke Evans with the same build and strength. The knock on him is his attitude but as long as we keep him in check I think he could be a great backup 1-2 spark off the bench. Any thoughts/comments?
He’s okay, he doesn’t have an explosive first step and he’s not a very good dribbler.
Stephenson is projected as a late 2nd rounder, so if he’s still around at #54, then sure we should take a flyer on him.
Why did he drop so much since he was a senior in high school? I remember him being a top player at the mickey-ds game but now he isnt nearly that high. I can think of other top high school guys who didnt have great years in college that were still lottery picks (or at least first rounders).
Lance Stephens sounds like an off the court grenade with the pin pulled… He sounds like he has the mentality of a 12 year old. Watch and listen…
“See i didn’t know, I learned that with in the last two months that you had to eat right cus uhhh obviously McDonalds chicken wings french fries…”
Nice! I’m just glad we’re taking a closer look at Paul George.
Yea me too, hes a project but he’s got some great base skills to work with and a whole ton of potential to unlock.
FANtastic! So many of us have been waiting for some news about workouts. Now, about that other ‘little thing’, coaching….
Paul George reminds me of a player we should have drafted in 2005 instead of Yaroslav Korolev! And that player is ‘DANNY GRANGER!!!’ George, G-Hayward, or Henry I hope we can land if Aminu or Johnson are off the boards.
Nice list. I wonder if we’ll get word on how each of them did or are the Clips still going to be secretive to a fault with their fans (i.e. coaching search/situation).
I’m not a fan of the Clips management. However, a team would never divulge who they like or dislike, who did well or not to their fans. They want to keep all of the other teams in the dark about their draft picks. So, in this case being secretive is a good thing.
Great workout, but from what I see Henry is just not right for us. He will be very disadvantaged at SF and there is no way he can make an impact right away behind EJ. Paul George is a great option if we can’t land Aminu or Wes Johnson. George is a solid defender, better on the boards than Thornton and Butler and is very smooth on the 3′s. He is very TO prone, but this could be worked on with a good coach!
Boy, won’t it be great to see a team with another player turning the ball over all the time. Baron’s just not careless enough with the ball for my taste. If they could average 25 TO’s a game, that would be worthy of the Clipper name.
On a serious note, where is Luke Babbitt on that list?
Luke Babbitt will be on the list with Aminu & Wesley Johnson, the top 3 SF options list.
I like Paul George with the Clippers I think he is gonna help this team win more games
