What is it with you deceived people and your delerious delusions about DeAndre Jordan? What can you point to that makes you think he’s good? Can you point to even one thing?
The only thing I know he can do well is stand tall and jump, and that’s not near enough to be a good basketball player.

I do know a couple of things he cannot do:
- he can’t score at all more than a few inches from the rim.
- he can’t stop other centers from scoring. Other centers in the league last season routinely had some of their best scoring nights of the year against Jordan. I repeat, routinely.

The reason he dropped from being a potentially high first round draft choice coming out of high school to a mere second round pick after a year of college is that people finally realized watching him in college that all he could do was jump. He didn’t improve his game at all in college. Then he came to the NBA and he hasn’t improved his game at all there either. He’s still the same player he was at Texas A and M. He still can’t do anything but stand tall and jump. He’s still the mediocre quality of a second round draft choice.

Nothing you can point to will say anything else.

Kaman is a great jump shooter for a center. He’s one of the few Clippers who can score without dunking. He’s a far better offensive threat than Jordan, and he’s a far better defender.

Tyson Chandler is no offensive threat at all, much like DeAndre Jordan, but he is hugely dfferent from Jordan because Chandler is one of the best defensive centers in the league and Jordan is one of the worst. Because Kaman is so much more of an offensive threat than Chandler along with being a good defensive player himself, he is a better overall center than Chandler.

Pretty much the same thing for Perkins, who also can’t score. Nene too.

Bynum has huge knee problems, and that’s a serious problem to have. Plus Bynum is a head case. Plus, like DeAndre Jordan, he didn’t grow up playing basketball and didn’t play until high school and so he simply can’t do a lot of basketball things that come second nature to players who grew up playing the game, like Kaman.

Mark Gasol is pretty good, only a notch below Kaman.

It is true that there’s a shortage of even mediocre centers in the league, and because of that, the Clippers should be able to trade Jordan to whatever team wants to sign him. Then they can get something good for him, maybe a good draft pick. But the Clippers should absolutely not sign him and keep him and start him in place of Kaman. That would be top rung foolhardiness. Top rung.
