wow. that was horrible. i’m glad there’s a game tomorrow so i can just forget about it.
I didn’t see the game, but from the highlights, it looked like a throwaway game they didn’t care enough to win. Tomorrow night is more significant.
It was really throwback night!
Ty Corbin felt like Jerry Sloan. Vinny felt like Dunleavy.
Okay this was just one lost but holy cow! The Clip’s looked nothing like a team that had played the fewest games in the NBA. They really looked like a team that had been out all night parting. Blake and DJ looked absolutely spent midway through the 2nd quarter.
As a 25 year Clipper fan what concerns me most is that we have seen efforts like this before. By the first time out it was clear the Clipper had accepted the loss. Losing a game is not a big deal but losing games by 30ish points multiple times this early in a season should raise a red flag. Nobody earned their paycheck last night. From the coaching to the last man on the bench. No fire, no effort and no visible frustration.
If the Clipper believe they have any postseason aspirations you must compete on the road. Yes, kick but and take as many home games as possible but must, must, must compete on the road. I don’t care that CP3 or Mo was out. I am most concerned with the fact we accepted losing that game minutes into it. That’s old school Donald Sterling basketball
I agree. Losing a game by poor execution is one thing, but losing due to lack of effort is another. Energy and effort should NEVER be a problem. From the opening tip, the team was listless. And like Mike Smith said after the game, this team should NOT be tired simply because of the afternooner on Monday. I have very little confidence heading into the game tonight against a rested Mavs team, especially if Mo and Paul are out again.
I give the Clips a Benoit Benjamin middle fingered salute for the Utah debacle.
There was no respect for the Utah Fans, TV Audience, the League, etc. They were out of the game in the first minute .

VDN should’ve just thrown the game after the first quarter, and save the starters for tonight. Dallas is very tough, and we have Twolves on Friday, who aren’t as much as a joke as they were before.
some constructive criticism: you guys need better microphones. sound quality is really harsh, distorted, tinny. first 2 minutes were impossible to follow. you have to introduce the podcast a little better, set the stage for your listeners. not everyone that is following the clippers today is “in” on all the clipper history. a lot more bandwagon fans and casual fans across the country. step it up boys.
also the noise gating is very noticeable and annoying. a “whoosh” sound after every sentence and then it’s complete silence. you needs some kind of subtle room tone in the background, will make it much more pleasant to listen to thru headphones.
Thanks for the constructive criticism — we’ll look into fixing that.
i thought the lakers-mavericks game was bad. this one i wanted to gauge my eyes out.
I caught the last quarter only and for a minute i tought it was a college team playing outthere! Heck even college teams put effort! It was indeed horrible to watch till my wife came and i handed the remote to c one of her crap shows. Trully horrible to watch but mostly a very Sh..Ty move by the team for the Utah crown and clippernation. You just dont throw a way a game that was a very even game in paper at least just because its on the road. NO way! VDN should do his homework. Dirk has the flu and carter is out so hopefully that’ll even things tonight.
Regarding the Clipper blog talk – Its an improvement and what matters most is the insight. sometimes i find myself toggling through crappy AM radio to hear a good NBA chat! this is awesome guys. Keep upgrading and keep up the good work!
