We win and lose as a team. As I break down the numbers, I see a lot of positives. We outrebounded the Cavs, we had less turnovers, and we had a higher free throw percentage than the Cavs. These are 3 areas where, when we take care of business, we usually win. Negatives, we shot very poorly from the field, and came out very sluggish in the 1st quarter. I blame the coach for the sluggish 1st quarter, no excuse. It’s Vinnys job to make sure they come out prepared and focused, and that didn’t happen last night. I credit Vinny when they dominate the 1st quarter, and blame him when we look like we did last night. Anytime Mo Williams plays 34 minutes, and only scores 5 points, that’s a problem. I knew Foye would get me 14 to 20, and 15 qualifies, but we need 16 a game from Mo. Without Mo’s production off the bench, its going to be tough to score enough points to win games, with the style we play. Vinny and Mo deserve a lot of the blame, but ultimately, we win and lose as a team.

VDN’s timeouts were really bad yesterday.. When it was obvious the Cavs were about to go on a run, he let it get to double digits instead of calling timeout while being down 6..

I didnt catch the whole game but speaking from stats. I can’t cope with the fact that Mo only scored 5pts. I just hope he knows that his role from bench is very important and it was just an off night instead of him acting up and throwing a fit for not starting. VDN should’ve acknowledged this and put foye in. I did saw lack of body from Mo on the defensive end so again VDN should’ve taken this under consideration especially on the final minutes where we needed some stops. hopefully its just a lesson learned and the morale of the team is not damaged. We need more wins especially on the road!! 76ers here we come! Go Clips!

Billups was only shooting 36%, Clippers don’t miss him that much

From HoopsWorld chat with Steve Kyler today:

Do we finally see the Clippers shop Mo Williams who isn’t happy being a 6th man? Any chance we could see a Mo for Wesley Matthews trade? Clips get the size in the back court they lack and the Blazers upgrade their PG spot.

No… not with the loss of Chauncey Billups… Mo is a friend of mine and he told me on Monday that he was thrilled with his situation and that he loved whats happening with the Clippers. Every player wants to play, so don’t read much into Mo wanting out of LA.

Kenyon Martin looked pretty damn good, considering it was his first NBA game in quite some time. I can only imagine how effective he would have been playing alongside Chauncey. I truly believe this team with Chauncey, would have made it to the Finals.
We must now play the rest of this season with a heavy heart, but I think it will only add to the compelling and inspiring story that is unfolding right in front of our very eyes. This is a special team. And it is only the first year. The first chapter of the story.

The Cleveland game has totally digested now. What an embarrassment!!! No Kyrie Irving, and they still get the win? Unacceptable. Losing Chauncey is no reason to start losing.

How can people keep hiding from the obivous? The overwhelming reason the Clippers lost was DeAndre Jordan.
It was the fourth of the last five games that he was torched by the opposing center for one of their best offensive performances of the season. And he answered with an offensive output of his own of . . . *ZERO* points.
The Clippers have to start Kenyon Martin at center.
