NBA Today Podcast with Kevin Arnovitz and Neil Olshey

The soap opera actor who had no experience in the NBA as player or coach, and who’s only NBA experience at all was as Dunleavy’s secretary when Dunleavy was GM, needs to make a huge public apology for two huge and possibly even fatal mistakes he made this year.

First, he way overpaid for Paul. He paid more than any of the speculation had it that he would have to pay. The reported New Orleans demand was that the Clippers would have to either/ or on the Minnesota pick or Gordon. Olshey panicked and paid both. The Minnesota pick is going to be an excellent player this year who will be good enough to start on any teram in the NBA next year. The Clippers missed out big on that.

Second, he has to apologize for matching the Golden State offer fo DeAndre Jordan and eating up $10-11 of scarce cap space a year for 4 years for one of the worst centers in the NBA.

Then for an added bonus he should apologize for bringing in that brick chucker Nick Young, who had been the second string shooting guard on the second worst team in the NBA, and immediately installing him as the Clippers starting shooting guard and trying to sell fans (through his puppets like the writers on this blog) on the foolish notion that Young would be the piece that would take the Clippers deep into the playoffs.
