Nick Young trade finally pays off big tonight!
wow…nick flynt is finally positive about this team…
well the clippers are the only team that has won 12 out there last 14. Not only that but bledsoe and martin’s defense has been crucial to our wins. and with mo back in the line up he just adds fuel to the offense of the shooters in foye, nick and butler.
bledsoes time at the pg has really help this team to be energized and defense amazing with help defense, steals and crucial offensive and defensive rebounds. That second unit out there can actually be a starting team in nba. they wont win a lot of games but they can beat those lowly team and upset the better ones. There is finally a offensive flow other then mo in the second unit as well. Nick young shooting. beldsoe penetration and martins veteranship makes that second unit one of top three benches in the league. the only other benches i think that are good and only come to mind right now is bulls and denver. I think the clips might have the best bench in the league cant see any other bench better then ours right now.
During the first half, OKC made the Clips a jump shooting team. In the second half, the Clips took their defense to another level and shut down Westbrook, Durant, and Harden. The Clippers also attacked the OKC defense by getting KD and Perkins and Harden into foul trouble and getting to the line. Credit to the players and the coaching staff for making adjustments. My concern though is that the Thunder took shots and many of them they would normally take. That being said, it was great on the Clippers for turning the tables on the Thunder for turning them into a jump-shooting team. As the great Sir Charles Barkley says, “You don’t live by jumpers but die by them.”
We found an answer to stop westbrook and harden. Put bledsoe on them. Neither are faster then bledsoe on defense. That’s crazy considering how westbrook is explosive and fast and he could hardly drive to the hole without bledsoe on his back.
Good show guys. Keep them coming. Enjoyed listening to the analysis particularly the insight about the Grizzlies as a potential playoff match up.
We will do our best to keep them coming throughout the rest of the regular season and certainly during the playoffs. We got some good questions on twitter last night, but one of the keys to making good shows will be knowing what people are interested in talking about, so keep the questions coming!
