Kinda surprised you guys would rather CP play on a iffy groin than rest him and trust he can get them a win on the road. I totally disagree and would not play him tomorrow and see if they can win without him tomorrow. Groins are like hamstrings. unpredictable. He sat out 10 days or so with the hammy. He’ll only get 2 til the playoffs. Just because he kept playing means nothing more than he just refused to come out. They need to protect him from himself again like with the hamstring.

    I don’t agree and their .500 road record is proof they can win on the road. But with the way they over depend on CP this whole year, was going to catch up to them and it couldn’t happen at a worse time. Ralph Lawler just put on twitter that he strained groin and questionable. No need to hurt their playoff chances more.

  Home court cannot be risked. Get him in there with limited minutes, crush an intentionally tanking team, rest all the starters towards the end of the game, hopefully.

Rest him how do we know Memphis doesn’t lose on Thursday to Q richardson and the Magic anyways(come on they almost lost to the Bobcats recently :The BOBCATS).

I think the Chris Paul question is tough for any of us to answer without knowing the details. A strained groin could mean he’s fine this morning or that he will be hobbled throughout the playoffs, just a tough diagnosis to take to the bank.

As for the home court thing, it’s both true that it will be really helpful in Round 1, but also that they will have to win on the road at some point if they hope to go deep.

All of this should be moot, frankly, because if the Clippers can’t beat a Knicks team that should be resting everyone (and isn’t the ’98 Bulls to begin with), they won’t be doing much in the playoffs, anyway. Looking forward to breaking it all down once everything clears up tonight on ClipperBlog Live!
