The dreaded trade Griffin hypothetical is coming isn’t it…ISN’T IT!?!

I’d trade Griffin for Howard if Howard is healthy.

If you project Beal as a starting 2 guard wouldn’t you have to consider trading Bledsoe if that’s all it takes to get him? It would even give a future #1 to lock him up. He’s projected to go anywhere from 3rd in the draft to 7th. We need less redundancy at this point and we have our all NBA point already. It’s funny because New Orleans did the same thing with Darren Collison. They traded him after have a great season when CP3 went down. I like Bledsoe a lot but if we can turn him into a legit SG or SF we have to make that move. There are enough Sessions in this world that can back up CP.

Why would that be a dreaded hypothetical? If you can get someone who will make an effort on defense and who is tough (Kevin Love!) then do it! And Blake’s game doesn’t fit with CP’s game. Blake needs to motor so he can get his precious lobs. CP wants to walk it up in the half court. Why form a foundation with stars whose games don’t jibe?
The hypothetical isn’t going to be to let CP walk or to trade CP.
And as much of a buffoon as DeMote DeAndre is, they’re going to have to get out from under that $10M contract sooner than later.

That’s a first. Does the archive copy on YouTube load for you?

just the livestream(yesterday and today).

Apparently, Google+ Hangouts On Air is not currently available for German viewers. Seems like it’s a country by country thing where they’re working to get legalities worked out. We’ll look into other methods of streaming. For now, though, you’ll have to settle with watching the YouTube copy.

Love the D.Will idea. I was pushing for him instead of Paul, but with Paul it’d be INSANE!
Clips4
As much as I would love to have D-Will too and for the Clips to monopolize on all the best PG’s in the game, it still does not address our size issue at the 2 and our need to upgrade at the 3 over Caron.

Can we just assume from this point on that talking, breathing, intimating any idea of trading Blake or CP3 is a matter of Clipper National security? Seriously, Men in Black need to be knocking on your door, forcing you to sign a non-disclosure agreement, then throwing you on a plane to Guantanamo.
Trading those guys has to be synonymous with impossible. You have a better chance breaking the speed of light.
No more heresy. From this point on it’s gotta be about what we can ADD to those 2, not taking one of them away.
That said, everything else is on the table. Just not the sacred cows of Clippertown.

Bong, that post was genius, I’m on board. Extend Blake, CP, and figure it all out in time. Somewhere between Blake wanting to run lobs continuously, and CP wanting to walk it up every time, there has to be a happy medium. In the meantime, Blake needs to focus on becoming 1st team All-NBA at his position, from the offensive and defensive end. When Blake gets to where CP is at his position, then we have the makings of a championship caliber team. CP must sign long term and have faith that Griff can step up his game to that level. The other pieces will fall into place in due time. 5 years is plenty of time to get it all done, and the general theme for Clipper Nation still applies. Patience, our time will come. In the meantime, enjoy our runs to the playoffs, and sometime along the way, mix in a division crown or two.

This was a really excellent podcast guys. There was a ton of information here about low key guys that would be great for the Clipper squad that many fans really don’t know too much about.
Hopefully this season, Deandre can take another step and become a championship caliber Center. If he can get to that level, we’ll be on track to having our own San Antonio model and just plugging guys into various positions for short term salaries.
Closstastic!
How many more seasons can Griff get by on motor? His game will probably have to change over the next five years. If Paul is still there one would think it’d be a perfect compliment. I’d envision the Stockton/Malone comparisons that aren’t appropriate yet.

Day of the Draft Trade Proposal
Cavaliers get: Mo Williams
Clippers get: #24 Pick & Luke Walton
Cavs get reilable veteran scoring back-up to Kyrie Irving
Clippers take on the last year of Walton’s bloated useless contract ($6.6M) and select Jeffery Taylor at #24 as the athletic wing defender talent on a rookie contract the team needs. With the emergence of Bledsoe, Mo needs to be moved to get him minutes. Only pull the trigger if Taylor is still on the board at #24.
