Some of the best viewing at the Las Vegas Summer League comes off the court. NBA types of all sorts are just hanging out, talking about who knows what, in plain sight, for everyone to see. Like in this case, where Vinny Del Negro and Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau had a chat before the Clips’ final game here.

    Glad to see how you are so truly entertained. If you look at yourself, your team, your coach, and your organization as a joke, people are always going to clown you DJ. Try being a self-respected Clipper fan, and stop laughing at every Clipper joke you hear. Its old man, clipper jokes are old. Its not fresh any more. The Clips are legit, so stop living in the past, stop trying to dig up new Clipper jokes in your spare time. Stop reaching out to others, to help you come up with something new.Clipper jokes are old, its tired. We’re legit, act like it.

Hey Vinnie, If you’re smart, you’ll sign Adam Morrison. It may only be summer league but his shot is pure and he showed passing ability and he’s 6’8′ and can make little jump hooks near the basket. If you don’t sign him I will.

Tom Thibodeau, regretting the loss of Bulls point guard Derrick Rose to a season ending injury, looked blankly into Vincent Del Negro for answers. Coming off a surprising successful season where his Clippers advanced to the conference semifinals for only the second time in franchise history, he says in disbelief, “I don’t know what to tell you.”

Charles, as a Clipper fan, I find it insulting that you of all people, (co-author of Clipperblog) would devise some back-handed way to encourage clipper fans to say negative things about the organization, just for fun. Come on! You’re better than that. Vinny has obviously been the loudest voice in the room, managed to attract and sign big named free agents, convince the Don to spend a little money, and I read somewhere that the Clippers had the 4th highest offensive effieciency this past season. No he is not a defensive wizard, but the offense got the job done this past year, even without the pre-requistites size that most teams employ to reach such lofty offensive numbers. Widdoes, try being more creative with your posts, and stop reaching out for Clipper jokes. We’ve had enough jokes through the years, and now that we’re legit, here you come soliciting more jokes. With fans like you, we don’t need Lakers fans talking trash to us, we can just read whatever you have to say Mr. Clipper fan-blogger-guy.

  Sorry you feel that way, Tim. I’m not sure what makes you think I was devising a way to encourage Clipper fans to say negative things. Just thought it was an interesting photo, and opened it up to what I thought might be some fun comments. Sorry if you don’t agree.

Everyone loves Vinny, the guy gets how to get along with people, and the players love the guy, and play hard for him. Why do you sneak around taking cheap snap-shots of the Vinny, throw it up on the blog, and open it up for cheap comments? How responsible is that?

      And by “sneaking around,” do you mean sitting in my chair on press row, looking to my right, and taking this picture? Was it a cheap snap shot when I took a picture of the Clippers walking into the arena and tweeted that? How about the picture I took of JR Smith talking to Doc Rivers?
      
      Not sure I see where a lack of responsibility comes in here. Pretty sure your problem here is with the comments themselves, buddy, not the picture or the post.

        Look at the response. It doesn’t take a Harvard degree to know what response your going to get, mission accomplished, at-a-boy. You said the other day, its no big deal what the Clippers accomplished this off-season, business as usual, we had slots to fill we filled them. You have no sense of history to make such lame comments. Look at our history of free agent signings, and come again. We never sign free agents in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd weeks of free agent periods. Usually its around mid August, early September, when we’re trying to fill the roster for training camp,or we sign a few off the summer league squad. This off-season is historic, there’s never been more positive things going on for the Clippers, save the Chris Paul trade from last year, there’s never been an offseason like this before, so during some down time, you take your chance to pipe in some negativity, while the Clipper front-office still basks in the after-glow of 1 of the only successful off-seasons in Clipper history. In past blogs you questioned what the Clips would do to follow up the successful season. You questioned if the Don would amnesty Gomes, you questioned, you waited, you expected the Clips to fall flat on their face, and when they didn’t you said, “but this is business, filling slots, they had to add some players, and look at Vinny, jokes? You guys got any, send them this way.” Dude, with so much hate from you, Mr. Clipper-blog-guy, what the heck! We don’t need to be fighting with Laker fans, as they gripe in their suds about Chris Paul, 1 yr later, we still got issues with our own. We got issues with you, hater. I’ve heard other Clipperblog people say, they are leaving this blog because of crap like this, but I’m not. But, you suck, no other way to say it.

    Charlie, you do good work. Keep it up. I know you, Andrew, and DJ try to be as objective as possible when you write your articles. We all know at this point what kind of a coach VDN is and it doesn’t mean we can’t take shots at him. Plus, it’s no coincidence that the first year Thibs takes over VDN’s spot as head coach in Chicago that the Bulls make it to the ECF. That says a lot about Thibs as a coach and gives an indictment to the kind of coach VDN is. A lot of people here let their fandom of the Clippers drive their emotions without being as objective as possible. There are too many people here whose fandom clouds their objectivity.
