Many were wondering who would fill the recently vacant assistant coaching position:
#Clippers hire veteran assistant Bob Ociepka to replace Dean Demopoulos, presumably

Bob Ociepka had been an assistant with the Portland Trailblazers since 2010. Prior to that, he was an assistant for Del Negro’s first two years coaching in Chicago.
Here’s the official press release.
And here’s a 2010 post on Blazersedge taking a look at Ociepka’s book, Basketball Playbook: Plays From The Pros. I’d take the book analysis with a grain of salt as the book is from 1995 and Ociepka is hired to be the defensive coach for the Clippers (the book itself focuses mainly on offensive sets). Maybe the clearest thing to conclude would be his thought process and mentality:
“It’s the execution of plays that win basketball games, not the number of plays executed.”
