I had resisted the urge to post this bit of information yesterday as it seemed largely conjecture:

Additionally, ClipperBlog commenter Wammy Giveaway discovered an instagram photo by @QMadeTheBeat posted 6 days ago of Matt Barnes playing at the Clippers’ practice facility. But rumors were swirling today, largely culminating with this tweet from Sam Amick of SI:
In other free agency news, Matt Barnes is strongly leaning toward signing with the Clippers. A free agency update – bit.ly/PcCOZz

Of course, many NBA players hang out in LA during the offseason. And undoubtedly they’ll congregate and play at facilities like the Clippers’ (you can even make out Adam Morrison in the instagram photo). But all of this information taken in aggregate with the interview Barnes did yesterday (relevant info starting at ~8m20s):
Matt Barnes: So [the Lakers] loaded up and I wish them the best and, uh, they’ll be one of our main rivals this year.
They might be hints at things to come…
UPDATE: And here comes Ramona Shelburne with sources saying a deal could be done by the end of this week.
