On the eve of the Clippers’ season opener:
Clippers waive guard Travis Leslie. The roster now stands at 14 players.

The Clippers waving Leslie at this point likely means that his contract guarantee deadline was moved from the original July 1 date. If no other team claims Leslie, then only $250K of Leslie’s salary remains on the payroll.
This puts the Clippers total salary at $69,354,409. As a result, Los Angeles now has one roster spot available and the cap space to offer a minimum contract while remaining below the luxury tax line of $70.307m.
