clippers seem really good at checkers, but when playoffs turn into chess, do the clips still find a way to win?? to me offense seems middle of the pack, and defense is okay with bursts of greatness that leads to points. Does this work in the postseason?
They’ve got the best record in the NBA. What do you want, NBA shutouts? Glad you’re a Kamen fan. I wish he was in Hollin’s spot on the roster. The team would be quite a bit better~~~
boom shaka laka
oh snaps flying solo
A few things: (which ever you wish to touch on)
1. Kudos to VDN for the Butler-for-Crawford substitution at the end
2. Didn’t like the Clippers taking their sweet time to run a play again at the end of the game.
3. When Grant Hill returns, what kind of rotation would you like to see? Should the Clippers play him in a smaller lineup with Barnes or Hill as the 4, or should the Clippers stick to traditional lineups and aim to reduce Willie Green’s minutes?
when ever you have a solo night…you should invite readers to join you…
DeMote would try to do whatever he can to get on… I would say the most consistent contributors. Tim, FD, you, JoeLouis23, Matt, Bongstradamus, myself
can we just have Demote on for fun? I want to see Demote in action. put a face to his ideas. No more hiding behind a computer screen.
Guard penetration looks to be an issue. Westbrook would destroy cp3 in WCF series. What do you propose?
ESPN telecast talked about how playoffs mean you shorten the bench. Why not think outside the box!? This is a different team! Deep bench is their strenght! I hope vdn does fall into this fallacy. What say you?
Andrew: Who says no to this trade?
Eric Bledsoe and Trey Thompkins to New Orleans, for New Orleans Top 3 protected pick and Xavier Henry’s expiring contract?
How do you feel about Blakes post moves tonight? Sometimes he seems like he gets caught on the spin and has to throw up a shot. Lucky shots tonight or skill?
Andrew: We went to DeAndre 3 straight times to start the game, and I don’t believe we fed him in the post again. Why didn’t we go back to him especially when the offense wasn’t flowing in the 2nd/3rd QTR?
Are you worried that already in close games we are playing Chris Paul an entire second half vs the Mavericks in a relatively meaningless game if you’re hoping Bledsoe will be in the rotation come playoff time?
we don’t have another game until Saturday. that’s why he played the entire half
Let the crazies in! Or we will Occupy Clipper Blog Live!
thanks Andrew good job! appreciate it
I agree. Great job
I third it. Good work!
Too many people are worrying too much. Forget about Bledsoe and his minutes, or lack thereof. When Bledsoe cuts down his turnovers, and develops a more reliable looking shot, I’m sure his minutes will be there. Trades? (in my best Vinny voice) Forget about it! I’m still hearing scenarios where somehow Caron freakin’ Butler ends up not in the Red, white and blue, whats wrong with you people man! Butler, is a true pro, and the 1st real free agent not named Baron Davis who ever signed for us, and Butler didn’t get bamboozled into signing. Elton was dirty. Check it out, Vinny is focused on 1 thing, this game right here, 1 at a time, and the dude is trying to win them all. This team already has enough new players about to join, in the form of Grant Hill, and Chauncey Billups, so there! You want something new, want some new players to check on, then have at it, Chauncey and Grant, enough though. The Clippers are perfectly constructed right now to shred the rest of the league. I do not want to be the Spurs, when the Clippers come calling, because getting swept out of the playoffs is still a fresh cut, and its deep. The Clippers won’t be coming to town all banged up, so, then we’ll see what happens then. The Clip have always had a chip on our shoulder vs the Thunder,we always bring the intensity. It was hard to imagine, and get my arms around the idea, but honestly, I can see it now. Clippers, #1 seed, home court through-out the playoffs.
