Is Vinny on the hotseat yet? What are your thoughts on his game management lately
lol Vinny is not on the hot seat
Why not damnit. What will it take. A drop to 4 or 5 spot? They are heading there
A drop to the 5th spot would do it
I’d like to think Vinny’s days in LA are over, but it’s also counter intuitive of firing him half way through the season and starting over right now. Best to start fresh next season.
A fall out of the 8 might do it…but that ain’t gonna happen.
VDN isn’t going anywhere. Clippers are happy with him.
Why are the Clippers going after Kevin Garnett? Shouldn’t they be looking to trade Bledsoe for a player like JJ Redick instead?
Everything I see that name I want to punch a wall since its that guy that injured cp in the first place.
The Clippers better not trade a 23 year old player for a guy that’s probably going to retire at the end of the season. Unless they get Avery Bradley in the deal, this should be a no-no.
what was the idea behind not fouling? I chalk it up to bad coaching…
That’s what he wanted. To hope they missed. Great strategy vinny.
Not even worth getting mad about anymore. The mental mistakes and horrible coaching call will be this teams demise.
I’m callin it…. They will not be top 3 after this road trip.
Bledsoe played well.
Blake looked like he could “impose his will” at times.
Clippers almost won a game that seemed lost early on.
Vinny ….. too easy to question him today.
What’s up with all these threes? What adjustments have been made by the coaching staff to defend the three better? Or is it just that injuries and varying rotations have not allowed the team to really make good use of their defensive adjustments?
Looks like the Clippers sans Chris Paul have really begun to cool off. If CP3 can come back soon and get the team back to their winning ways, does he have a legitimate case as the league’s MVP?
Paul’s out of the MVP race – it’s James, Durant, possibly Anthony now. The NBA only takes statistics into account. Narratives are always a long shot in the MVP. In fact, when was the last time someone won the MVP by narrative alone?
Who also won Rookie Of The Year, I might add.
What does Rose’s rookie year have to do with his MVP year?
When was the last PG to win it? Rose? Can’t see CP3 winning it, if goes by stats alone. They should call it the ‘Stat stuffer’ award… Which makes me think the scoring title becomes obsolete.
I think the clippers are going through a patch ATM. We need them to peak coming into may.
i dont understand the not fouling. if Pierce misses and the ball bounces high off the rim its still over?!?
i think this pretty much cements the fact KG is not coming to LA…no way they blow this up…i think they try to keep the team and make a run in the east.
Kevin Garnett lives in LA during the off season and is the god father of Chauncey’s child
I think he would waive his no trade clause to come here
It’s easy to bash VDN when the Clippers are loosing games, but it’s undeniable that this team is not being well coached. The offense is pratically non-existent without CP3 and the defense is highly erratic at times. And why didn’t they foul in that last play? Even with a stop they would have had, at best, 1 second left to tie or win the game.
I meant “losing”, of course.
You guys on cbl are being scarily nice to Thus situation. You don’t think this slide is gonna hurt in the end. You think they will automatically fix things when cp comes back. On offense yeah, but the defense has always been a problem especially on 3pt line. You act like that 17 win gave them a big cushion. News flash they are only 2.5 games out if 4th, 3 games out of 5th, 3.5 out of 6th. Yeah they will make the playoffs but what a disappointment to possibly fall out of top 3. I don’t care if cp is injured. This is not good. Had to vent afterall
All fair points.
More than fair. I think for us, though, we’re already aware of Vinny’s weaknesses and accepted them (for last season and the remainder of this). Then it becomes a question of where the Clippers can improve. Mostly, that’s just getting Chris Paul healthy again.
I guess that’s why we’re calmer about it? If you accept Del Negro will finish out the year, no use crying over spilt milk.
Well I will adopt that same mentality regarding Vinny and just hope he is not the coach after this season. If CP is smart, he will see this man is not the one that will get him a championship. As smart as he is as a player, there needs to be a plan other than “Chris Paul” offense and he is not the coach that can implement that. Maybe he’ll gain that with more years of experience but CP is in his 8th year and getting older. I’m sure he doesn’t want to wait 3 or 4 years for Vinny to get it.
+1. If you’re into the zen thing, adopting this idea is definitely going to test it.
VDN right now should be hired onto a staff. I think he is more than capable being an assistant coach.
I concur with your thoughts – I wish there was a back up plan for offence (horns, flex, triangle etc). You can fall back on these plays when offence is stifled, which is exactly what clips need in times like these.
Dan Woike tweeted today and I think it’s really salient: the tribe misses Bledsoe as much as the starters miss CP3.
It’s fun to ask a Bulls fan.about Vinny. Then theybring up everything Clippers fans complain about. No plays, horrible rotations. I could go on

CBL pumps up DJ a lil too much imo. The guy is so overrated for his salary. I lose track of how many rebs he drops a gm. His ft shooting is still a big issue. If they did get KG, they better start him at C to space the floor fir Blake and CP. I’d like to see DJ get traded. At least see what’s out there for him.
