Should the team just sit Blake and to lesser extent CP until after the trip. If the bigger picture is more important, the way they play should be more important than seeding right now
Meant should a healthy be more important than seeding right now
With Blake out the Clips’ lack of depth at 4/5 is clearly exposed. Odom and Turiaf have been looking terrible!
Even without CP3 and Blake, we should not be giving up 8-10 point games to the Wiz.
Why are we so dysfunctional without CP3, and is this loss the exclamation mark on Vinny’s coaching (in)ability? Complain about system coaches all you want, but at least everyone knows how to execute even with different pieces on the floor.
Furthermore, is the organization in Win Now or Build Dynasty mode? Chasing after KG (on the 1st of a 3 year, 12m a season deal) and giving away our youth seems like a one shot deal. Shouldn’t we be trying to parlay Caron Butler into a younger defensive wing with potential and a draft pick? Why arent we trying to glean Derrick Williams or Pekovic from Minny? Or MarShon Brooks and Humphries 1 year deal? Shabazz Muhammad/Nerlens Noel area draft picks and expirings for Bledsoe or DJ? We have a CBA to think about and it only allows for 2 maxes and a guy in the 10-12M slot…and then rookie scale or MLE area vets on the bench moving forward.
I can see the benefit of Win Now, I mean we actually can say we are a championship capable squad….as long as we’re healthy. But look, we are old. And getting older surely adds “veteran leadership” but its unsustainable moving into the future. Half our team is hobbled by age related injuries or conditioning issues. And the length and size of these contracts is…well also hobbling moving forward.
I guess that comes back to our identity issues. Are we just going along for the ride because its a fun ride? Is someone driving this thing towards something?
I’ve been a Clipper fan for over a decade, I cant help but be skeptical about our success moving into the future. Winning is nice and being Win Now is a luxury we’ve never had and I dont want to take away from that. But I need some more selling. Just like if I were being interviewed for a job, I want the organization to be telling me what they see in 5 years. I want to hear about a vision for the future. All I’m really seeing is Win Now…at all costs — including our first born. And that, on top of losses to teams like the Wiz when our stars are down, scares the crap outta me.
Does this puts the rest all that talk about how the Clippers bench is good enough to compete against the starting squad of some NBA teams? If the Clippers are looking at trades, should they try to reinforce the 1-2 punch strategy with a revamped second unit or focus on finding a possible 3rd star for a big 3?
If the Clippers are looking to trade, should they stick with the 1-2 punch strategy with a revamped second unit or try to find a star for a big 3?
Favorite hypothetical 3rd superstar to add on to Blake and Chris for a clippers big 3?
Kevin love? He’s from LA and is friends with Blake?
yeah his defense will help us.

Before tonights game, Jordan had the team going 3 of 5. I wonder if Washing was one of those 3 and if so is he down to 2 of 6.
I’m not saying DJ Foster is to blame for Blake, but DJ Foster is to blame. Freakin jinx to the 25th piwer
Peep that Celtics CBL for peoole not knowing.
Uggggh I’m the worst I know. What was I thinking?
I have no idea what Jordan said…that talking dog was hilarious!
I LEAVE FOR ONE NIGHT AND JORDAN IS NOW A TINY PUPPY?
Let us paws and take a moment *nyuk nyuk nyuk*
I couldn’t keep a serious face the entire time watching. Jordan Heimer as a dog… No way can I take Jordan seriously!
Wasnt the dog totally hypnotic? Like I sat there staring with this goofy look on my face because I COULDNT LOOK AWAY.
I’d imagine Ricky Rubio looks like that to girls in Spain when he gives interviews.
some bright moments in the game deandre getting over 20 rebounds was a good sign he is getting better, just rebound when it’s desperately needed tough rebounds in clutch tight games, when it’s very important and team really needs ball back, clippers look more like a team with an identity a purpose a team with define role, deandre was the main reason, going further just work on getting critical rebounds against difficult players, bledsoe played good except just need 2 understand or say 2 urselve i cannot make a unforce turnover in critical moments of the game, i cannot make unforce turnover my teamates r relying on my leadership, we cannot win if i don’t show improvement
