Aiming for an 11:00p PT start. Expect delays though as we coordinate.

I saw DJ and Blake boxing out Z-Bo and Gasol all game long and it shows in the rebounding numbers. I’m encouraged that they paid attention to rebounding fundamentals. Is this effort sustainable by the LAC bigs to keep boxing out for the rest of the series?
While I don’t expect this from the Clippers the rest of the series, it seems like the Clippers ability to close games (mainly CP3) vs. the Grizzlies inability to score in 4th Quarters goes unmentioned. It was certainly the case in tonight’s game. Could also factor into the reasons why the Clippers have won 10 of their last 15 games against the Grizzlies.
What do you guys think of CP3, Billups, and Bledsoe, 3-guard line up to close out the game? That was some interesting lineup right there. Why do you think Grizzlies fail on capitalize on those match up and Clippers were so successful?
What kind of adjustments do you see the Grizzlies making? Their inability to score will make this a less than 7 game series. So far it seems like Vinny has been out coaching Lionel Hollins.
I think they’ll run more through Gasol. It seems like Griffin and Randolph cancel each other out, especially when they’re called for double fouls.
Despite the win, I felt like Lamar hindered us on the offensive end. How would you rate his overall play tonigh,t and do you guys think he should be receiving as many minutes as he got tonight?
Odom had 7 rebounds, 3 assists, a block, and 4 points to go with 3 fouls. This is completely normal; he’s done this before. And they’re all as Lakers:2 4-pointers in 2008 (vs. Celtics) and 2010 (vs. Thunder); 2 7-rebounds in 2006 (vs. Suns) and 2008 (vs. Rockets); and 10 games where Lakers won with Odom having 3 assists. He’s not an integral player, but a role player who can help the Clips win games by gobbling loose balls, drawing offensive fouls, and playing defense. He had a huge Ginobili-like saving play in the second quarter. If you’re expecting Odom to return to his true Laker form, it’s not going to happen. But Odom will help.
Great to point out Odom’s productivity. I think all bench players will have to chip in to come away from this series without a limp
I just called into KFWB Clipper talk and Brian Sieman told me that the Blake and DJ watched film on how to box out and focus on rebounding fundamentals to push Gasol and Z-Bo out of rebounding position. There is focus on that end. Is it still sustainable though given that they’ll get beat up?
Great to hear there’s focus in that area.
What is a negative and positive theme or stat that you see continuing through the series?
Would Bill Walton’s commentary had made this game interesting? I’m thinking yes, though I’m hesitant.
What did u guys think of the bledsoe billups paul lineup at the end?
How worried are you about Blake’s health problems? Would you be ok if he averages way below his season PPG in this series, but focuses on moving the ball, finding open shooters and just keeping Z-Bo in check?
I’m personally worried about injury problems for another series with Memphis. I hope it isn’t so…
why doesnt viinny just put the bench to start the game sometimes jeez clippers bench plays very different from the 1st units.
I think the premise is flawed. I think the bench plays well, because they’re playing other benches.
Paul, Billups, and Bledsoe was a perfect line up at the end of the game! it took us all season, but i think this is the rotation that will take us to the top. VDN you might have saved your job.
