Was the LAC win and great defensive effort a byproduct of NYK’s poorly constructed roster that is filled with ball stoppers in Melo, Amare, and J.R. Smith or the iso-heavy offense of Mike Woodson? What can we learn from this win? My strategy would have been to let Melo get his points and to try stopping everyone else which LAC basically did.
How much from this win can we take from tonight? Was the great defensive effort tonight a byproduct of the poor construction of the roster with NYK having ball stoppers in J.R. Smith, Melo, and Amare, or the iso-heavy offense of Mike Woodson? My strategy would have been to let Melo get his points and stop everyone else which LAC pretty much did tonight.
Crawford and Jamison seem to have a pretty nice chemistry. The passes from Crawford to Jamison remind me of the passes from Crawford to Barnes.
Crawford and Collison have no such chemistry at the moment, however. Whenever one handles the ball for a possession the other just spots up for 3. Do you think the chemistry between these two can improve?
Do the chickens have large talons?
Defense wasn’t great at moments, even more in the beginning, Griffin was looking lazy. But later Clippers D got better and Knicks also got down to Earth.
But nonetheless it’s funny how Clippers fans always seems to doubt Clippers, almost always discrediting them whenever something actually good happens.
If Clippers hold the opponent down maybe it’s because the opponent is bad, if Clippers score a lot is because it was a game in which all shots were falling or because the other team doesn’t play D, was it that Clippers won or that the other team that lost, etc.
I mean, it’s not like they are wrong, but it’s just a funny thing to note about the mentality of the fans.
Blake’s baskets around the rim were simply not falling today. It’s weird that there are some days that Blake simply doesn’t look like Blake. I mean, I don’t expect him to have a great game every time but I expect him to play with energy, hustling, being aggressive and some days you just look at him and you just know that there should be something. Anyway, it’s a lot to expect of Blake, but we always feel a bit frustrated and even disappointed when Blake doesn’t have a 20/10 game.
I thought that when CP3 was out Blake would be more aggressive himself even more when Crawford and Collison were simply not running the offene anymore, whoever had the ball, they would both try to drive to the paint and just then try to figure what to do. Overall, the result was better than expected because so far this season, bad teams are the worst opponents for the Clippers and I thought at the beginning of the game that this would be another one.
