Chris Paul has a Grade 3 AC joint separation, Clippers say. Out up to six weeks. No surgery required.

Chris Paul’s injury in the third quarter of the Dallas win has been diagnosed as a grade 3 AC joint separation, per Clippers press release. Paul will miss up to six weeks but will not require surgery.
Not that any injury to a team’s star lead guard is ever good timing, but it seemed particularly unfortunate as Paul seemed to be coming out of his shooting slump in recent weeks, culminating in a 5-for-6 3-point shooting performance January 3 at Dallas before the fluke injury resulting from a fall.
Six weeks should put the projected return around February 14, which means Paul could miss 19 games during the stretch. Notable games:
Jan 18 @ Indiana Pacers
Jan 30 @ Golden State Warriors
Feb 05 v Miami Heat
Feb 12 v Portland Trailblazers
If Paul does not require more time and uses the full six weeks, his first game back would be at home versus the San Antonio Spurs on Feb 18.
