In the newest installment of the Clipper Podcast, Kevin Arnovitz and Jordan Heimer talk about Griffin’s maturation as a basketball player and his renaissance into super stardom. My question to you is, do you think Griffin’s maturation had anything to do with the unjust ejection against the Warriors back on Christmas night? He feared it in the VDN era – in the Doc era, not so much.
Blake didn’t like that last Wiz basket as the game was done, he went aggressively for the rebound. Mad Blake is always aggressive, that should be his mindset through out the game, not just in moments like this. And when on the post or high post, Blake needs to take a better care of the ball 6 TO is a bit too much.
DJ needs to work on his post up defense awareness but mainly his lateral movement and footwork. Too often guys goes around him. But DJ has been rebounding like crazy and those 2 huge blocks and 4-4 from the line was really good, taht put an ice in the game.
Turkoglu is getting more and more comfortable, he has been rebounding well, not counting his passing and ability to dribble the ball, it’s really helping the 2nd unit keep the ball movement.
Wiz really helped Crawford get it going with those 2 fouls on 3s since his shots were not falling, but he always get hotter on 4Q.
It looked like the Clippers struggled mightily with their rotations after the Wizards set any on ball screen tonight. Do you think it’s just more difficult for the defense to adjust to Wall? General sloppy play?
Follow up: there can’t be a greater aesthetic disparity between a player’s makes and misses than DeAndre’s free throws, right? When they fall they look great, clean, natural. When they don’t… Oy. Shout out to Turk’s DJ impression.
Let’s hope that this new release from DJ pays off a bit, his previous form, from the top, always had a high arc, which makes something already hard for him, even harder.
JJ coming back has been a big help as well
If the NBA held a draft with every player in the league available, where would Blake go? CP3?
Shout out for Sam Seaborn
