Zach Lowe talks to ESPN.com’s Kevin Arnovitz about Clippers fandom, Kevin Love and the unstoppable Spurs.
Looks like its put up, or shut up time for the Donald. Hoping for No Response. The day I’ve long been waiting for. Time for the Donald to grab the cardboard box, put some personal items in it, head downstairs to HR, complete that exit interview, because its Termination Day. Yaaahoo!
Not so fast. He could be bluffing
Told you he’s still fighting the sale
Wouldn’t it be funny if Shelly sales the team on Monday, and the league holds off on approving the deal just long enough to terminate the Donald, then approve the deal and move on. I understand Geffin, Oprah, Ellison, and the Guggenheim execs are teaming up. After the sale, who cares what the Donald does?
I think he’s going to sell the team now, and the sue the nba for all sorts of damages. Say he was forced to sell the team… Then the NBA will have to pay him another billion. He could get 3 billion out of this.
Fun 2 watch OKC play up and down the court with athleticism and freedom, what’s missing on Clippers? Of course we need athletic young guys 2 play small forward/shooting guard, come on Doc get better talent on this team stop wearing out Blake and DJ, you may have 2 trade CP3, we need 2 be more aggressiveness in the game, CP3 wants 2 slow it down and play right into the other team hand. Clippers need high energy and courageous players, willing 2 do whatever it takes 2 win
Clippers lose Collison, now Clippers need another Bledsoe replacement.
I give it 2 years and then they move to Seattle.
I don’t think the Clippers will be moved to Seattle, but only because I don’t think Sterling will let them be sold.
I do expect the Microsoft guy would move the Clippers to Seattle. He just got finished trying to buy the Kings and he was very up front about how he was going to move them to Seattle. How could he have changed his thinking about moving an NBA team he bought to Seattle? He couldn’t have change it, not that fast. He doesn’t care that the Clippers would make more money in LA than Seattle. The guy has far more money than he thought he’d ever have, and he’s going to keep making more and more without doing anything, so why’s he going to care if he doesn’t make much on the Clippers. He’ll move them to Seattle and will immediately be a big hero there for the rest of his life. That’s why a lot of these guys buy sports teams anyway, to be a public big shot. And he’ll be a huge one there in Seattle for bringing them the Clippers.
Of course Sterling likes being a public big shot too, which is why he’s likely not going to let the team be sold.
Just bought the domain ballmersballers.com. Now what should I do with it?
Ding Dong the witch is dead! Donald just dropped the law suit against the NBA and has agreed to allow the Sterling trust to sell the team to Ballmer! Now it only needs the approval of the Board of Governors in mid July to become official. Summer league and training camp can now go on without a hitch.
