From the courtroom to the hardwood court, the Clippers have had a busy summer. What does it mean for next year? Find out at 7:00 p.m.
Glad to see Clipperblog Live back on the scene, albeit briefly.
Ramona Shelburne on Max & Marcellus last week explained how Dr. Jerry Buss brought Donald Sterling into the NBA after he helped him in purchasing the Lakers. Given Sterling’s real character, do you think Dr. Buss regretted bringing Sterling in?
I think he regrets having a son more than anything.
I can’t wait for the season to start! Get ready for the Ballmer era!
Two thoughts about the Clipper trade today:
1. It again underscores what a terrible trade Rivers made in giving away the excellent Bledsoe for the mediocre Dudley.
2. This trade itself is a bad one. Delfino is an even worse shooter than Dudley was last season. Last season Dudley shot 44% from the field and everybody thought his shooting was bad. Well, it’s a lot better than Delfinio’s shooting, which was 40% in the last season he played and is 40% for his career. Plus he’s coming off of a serious foot injury so he likely will be worse than ever.
And then on top of that the Clippers gave away another first round draft choice.
The 2nd round pick the Clippers get is the same second round pick they gave up in the Redick deal.
It’s clearly another bad trade, regardless of what the protections are on the first round pick.
Rivers just has poor judgment, and this is the kind of thing that people with poor judgment do. Again and again and again.
If we pick up Epke Udoh and CDR off the scrap heap, this will acually be good. CDR is a huge upgrade over Dudley. What we need is youth and length on the wing and we have some flexibility to do that when waiving Delfino with the stretch provision and waiving Raduljica
I think this trade is just to free up cap room for next year. Late 1st round picks don’t matter anyway. Delfino is supposed to be injured most of the year I read anyway. They didn’t care about the actual players, just dumping dudley
good luck 2 Dudley clippers had 2 make a change hopefully they receive a decent starting small forward Delfino is a back up
