The Portland Trail Blazers took control of their first round series with the Los Angeles Clippers, winning 108-98 to take a 3-2 lead. Portland PG Damian Lillard had 16 of his 22 points in a 37-point 4th quarter for the Trail Blazers, while SG C.J. McCollum added a game-high 27 points.
The Clippers started PG Austin Rivers and PF Paul Pierce in place of Chris Paul (hand) and Blake Griffin, respectively, while SF Jamal Crawford started in place of Luc Mbah a Moute (DNP-CD) and played nearly the entire game.
