And We’re Back Up…

Need More Bandwidth!

Clipperblog was down for a few hours today. For some reason, we’ve had a major uptick in vistors lately.  We’ve since increased our ability for additional bandwidth. (we’ve never had so much traffic in such little time.)

It’s a good problem.

Thanks for your patience.

Server Maintenance Today at ClipperBlog

Posted by Mike Fiske (admin) On June - 17 - 2010

UPDATE: Thursday, June 17th, 12:33PM

If you’re reading this then you’re on our new server. (Which is reason for celebration.)

Thursday, June 17th, 9:46AM

We’ll be performing some overdue maintenance on the site today. The site may at times go down, become buggy, fail to load, you know – what usually happens when we post something popular. Today’s upgrade will help in a big way to fight that from happening in the future. When it’s complete, we’ll update this post. Some comments from now until then may become lost into the ether, so don’t send us an email asking why we censored you. We didn’t. The internets ate your comment.

Thanks.

Clipperblog Introduces Mobile Edition for iPhone

Posted by Mike Fiske On September - 15 - 2009

cbmobileWe’ve launched a mobile version of clipperblog.com. You do not have to download anything and it’s completely free. This is a “web-application” experience and is compatible with the iPhone as well as the iPod touch with wifi access. This should also work with Google’s Android, Blackberry 9500 and 9530. Basically any touch-screen mobile device.

How to use: Launch the Safari web browser app (on your iPhone) and go to http://clipperblog.com.

Loading times on the mobile version are significantly shorter thanks to a design that has been built on the iPhone mobile theme.

There’s an option on the bottom of screen to easily switch between the mobile view and the site’s regular view if you ever want to go back to the non-mobile version.

All of the main features of the regular site are available in the mobile version such as search, post a comment, twitter link, categories, tags, archives, photos and more. Screen shots as well as an overview of the features are below:

If you have any issues, comments or just want to say thanks, feel free to make a comment.

Thanks,
