DJ is far from a pet project. He just needs to play with a power forward with a consistent jump shot.. I could see the CLippers trading DJ because Blake just isn’t a good of enough of a shooter to play alongside a defensive center. DJ would fit seamlessly with a pick and pop big like Kevin Love or Lamarcus Aldridge.

Just a question that someone might be able to answer. How soon before a new coach can be signed?? I know we can’t negotiate with players until July1 and can’t sign them until the 11th (?) I think. Do the same rules apply for the coach? Can we begin talks now and get a signature before June 30??? Just wondering how long I have to wait as the suspense is already killing me!!! lol

Oh, and I’m pretty sure Shaw could envision Eric Bledsoe taking on a Lance Stephenson Plus role with the Clips next year. Stephenson may be taller, but Bledsoe has him beat in just about every other category that you could want from a starting 2-guard. Shaw has the track record (with developing Stephenson, Paul George, and Hibbert) to make Bled into the best player he can be.

I really think Brian Shaw should be higher on this list simply because of the defense that Indiana had this season. He may not be the guy behind it, but the way that Roy Hibbert positions himself on opposing pick-and-rolls is exactly what the Clippers need from DeAndre Jordan. No more hard hedging from the big guy! (That is, if he is still around next year)

Really think Shaw has a diverse background working under P-Jax and then in Indiana, and I think he would be able to relate to players while also showing the ability to run creative plays down the stretch of close games.

I really want the clippers to try for Jerry Sloan and pay him whatever he wants. The dude is amazing and would be the best fit for what the clippers have to work with. Sterling has been known to be cheap but now that the clippers are popular and make cash he should be able to spend some decent money on a coach. He also is getting old and should use his money to achieve something great to help wash away his legacy of being the worst sports owner of all time.
