Corey Maggette:

Splash Page: A very young Corey stands before a hardwood background.  The site is rated “H” for Strong Highlights, Skills, and Frequent Dunks.

Intro/”Trailer”: A popout video sequence that actually isn’t uncool, though it has some cheesy elements. “Summer Overture” by Kronos Quartet plays over a vocal mix that spits out things like “November 12, 1979” [Corey’s birthday].  The opening text reads, “legends come few in a lifetime” [all lowercase].  “Many have tried flight for centuries.  #50 flies daily” is written over a chalkboard, scrawled in white, with a diagram to demonstrate Corey’s path of flight. Apparently, “x2 –y” is the formula that elevates Corey to the hoop.  Another visual has a Doberman with a strip of text that reads “and he’s let the dogs out,” which is unfortunate because the dog appears cross-eyed and a little scary.  There are some great-looking stills of Corey in action, then the words “mr. night after night” runs across a black background, then a big “Maximus 50” appears.

Site Particulars
: Disappointing.  A lot of broken links, including the game link and “register 2 win.”  His foundation link is “coming soon,” though it’s been a couple of years.  The most recent news is the launch of the website on April 8, 2004.  A four minute highlight reel to "Notorious" by Duran Duran [chosen by the athlete, to be certain] can be found through the Video link.  The photo collection isn't anything you can't GoogleImage, and not much is imparted through the bio section.   Though it definitely has some aesthetic aspirations, it’s a pretty limited site in terms of content.
