Doug Christie

No word on the inclusion of Jackie Christie in the deal.  Either way, D. Christie promises to be a...uh...communicative teammate.

I haven't seen Christie play much during his whirlwind tour of NBA teams over the past three seasons, so there's no sense on whether he's still the quality perimeter defender he was in years past.  My best guess is that Mike Dunleavy feels as if he can never have too many wing defenders in the Western Conference and, if he needs someone to go out there for four minutes when and if the Clips' defensive rotation breaks down, there are worse guys than Doug Christie to have sitting on the bench.   Can he still shoot?  We'll see.

In any case, don't expect to see too much more of Doug Christie than we saw of Luke Jackson or Alvin Williams...unless Corey Maggette continues to break down
