Mobley, Thomas and Camby are just place holders while the core of Davis, Kaman, Gordon and Thornton (plus Jordan and Taylor, if they work out) will be what helps the team land a big-name FA in 2010.

What is with all the hatin' on Kaman lately? The man just came off a career year. Yeah, he got banged up in the second half but there really wasn't much to play for, except fighting double/triple teams and getting hurt even more. I'm sure that's part of the reason why he missed so many games in the second half.

Big deal about the preseason, Kaman will be ready when it counts. Just quit it with the hating, his contract is pretty decent for a quality big man in the league. It's better than what the Knicks are paying for Jerome James.

Kaman already said he's not trying hard because it's preseason. He was honestly surprised that his teammates tried so hard (IE the rookies).

COMMENT: When game is on the line, no one wants him on the floor. He's a novelty. His presence on the court poses no THREAT to opponents. I mean "threat".
If a CENTER pose no threat, then he has no VALUE.

When Kaman played last year, he averaged 15.7 Pts and 12.7 Rebs and 2.8, shot 48% from the field and 76% from the line.

Why are some of you bringng up the 27th salary issue ? Once you get under the cap its impossible to go over it until next year. Do you not know what a salary cap is ? Even if DTS wanted to spend 100 mil he CAN'T. Its impossible. The only way to spend more money this year is to get veteran minimums which is then capped by the 15 roster spots. So stfu already. You must think the knicks are smart for having a 100 million dollar payroll.

BTW Kaman 16pts 12reb 6-6FTM-A against Phoenix. Him and Mike Taylor were the only bright spots of the game today... and I guess Gordon's early 3pter. Slightly ironic that he plays well when we get a loss, but it's good to see Kaman putting up K2 numbers.

So Kaman haters, I'm guessing we trade the rest of the team for shooting 34% right? Al went 3-11 and EJ was 2-10. Hurry and trade, right? It's preseason, sheesh.

Kris..aka kaman hater.....why would a guy want to go all out and risk injury in a meaningless preseason game...you see vets sitting out preseason games all over the league, yet you want a top 5 CENTER in the league to go all out....makes no sense...just like you no sense. As a personal friend of Chris', I know for a fact that he will put his all into every reg. season and playoff game. You dont see chris out clubbin, smokin weed, getting drunk or any of that other crap that 75% of the league does. went to the game last night. it was nice to see Kaman playing like a man! he was pushing around Stoudemire like it was his kid brother in the driveway. Eric Gordon really looks like he is going to be something special. he reminds me a lot of Nash. he looks like he's moving in slow motion. but still take's it to the rack. his shot just wasn't falling last night. 4th qtr. was brutal. no more could hit a shot. Taylor miss 4 free throws in a row. but before the game Baron and Camby looked good in warm-ups. can't wait for the Lakers!

Kris has a point. Kaman played 30+ min. against Toronto & Phoenix. And we lost. No more evidence is needed. More we make room for Kaman; less room we'll have to compete for play-off berth.

I could be wrong, but couldn't the Clippers have done more in the offseason and gone over the salary cap and paid the luxury tax?

Can't they make a Pau like trade now or during the season? (I don't expect the Clippers to pull something like that off)
