Getting Paid

From this morning's LA Times:
They offered Cassell, last season's co-captain and emotional leader, a two-year deal that could be worth as much as $12 million. Radmanovic, whose long-range shooting helped in the Clippers' run to the Western Conference semifinals, received a five-year, $31-million offer, sources close to the players said.
No word on the Dunleavy extension
in the piece and whether the Clippers are interested in coming anywhere close
to the $7 million/per that he's rumored to be seeking. Clipperblog feels that any salary defrayed to
Dunleavy at the expense of the player roster is ridiculous. Bring back all the parts, and let Dunleavy
play out his current contract of $2.5 million this season. If he's truly worth the $7M, then we'll see a
Pacific Division crown and a two seed.
If the Clips win between 41-45 games (cataclysmic injuries
notwithstanding), do you really think they couldn't - and shouldn't - do better
to throw that money at someone else?
