Oh, I'm also still pissed at the new urinals that put in earlier in the season. This issue has just been glossed over. The old urinals let me rest my beer on them, while the new ones have a sloped edege with no place to put your drink. I have to hold my drink with my teeth now.

Last status was a maybe in Mid-March, but I hope he just comes back in April and just plays a few games. Clippers are already eliminated from the playoffs anyway.

the last play was not the reason they lost. they got POUNDED on the glass the entire game...and the last play was just another instance. If EB were playing, I guarantee that the outcome of that particular game would be very different.

Dont harp on the coach. he's not perfect. If Kaman were in there, the Wiz would have run a pick and roll using his man and probably get off a much better shot.

ACD - that's insane. Kaman's their best (and really only) rebounder. They were getting killed on the boards all night. He's protecting the middle. He's got to be in that game.

Even without Elton Brand, the Clips should be more competitive. But that's what happens when the coach wants to trade a player he detests, and the owner refuses because Corey Maggette is his favorite player. Is there a franchise that is now, or ever has been, more dysfunctional?

I know one thing: If Sterling is hellbent on keeping Corey beyond this season he'd better be ready to eat the rest of Dunleavy's salary and look for a new coach. There is no way Corey comes back to the Clippers and subjects himself to more of Dunleavy's abuse and disrespect.

Sadly, Charlie Rosen has it right - this org is dysfunctional from top to bottom - owner, president, GM, coach, and trainer. None of these people would have a job in the NBA if it wasn't for the Clippers.

Detests is a strong word. I wonder where Rosen got that from. I doubt Dunleavy "detests" Maggette. How could he "detest" him? Is Dunleavy is irrational as our very own ACD? I agree. No way Corey would want to put up with the Dunce anymore. I don't think anyone knows how much that whole QRoss debacle last year (and the Doug Christie unretiring) must have hurt Corey. I know I wouldn't have been able to handle it as well as Corey.

Mike, you're right, "detest" is a little over the top (unless Charlie knows something we don't). But that trade over the summer, Corey for Jason Terry, should have happened. Even if you like Corey it's clear he doesn't fit on this team. And now we're going to lose him for nothing because of Sterling.

Who does fit on this team? What is the identity of the team? If it has one, I don't know it. I see complex defensive switching schemes and plain vanila unimaginative offense, and that is being charitable. I doubt it is hard for opposing teams to prepare to play the Clippers under the Dunce.

He's trying to build a team with precision execution on offense and defense, like the Spurs or the Jazz, but he has players that are sloppy with the ball, don't play defense, and don't do well in a structured half court offense. You can be somewhat unimaginative if you have a something that is unstoppable, like Stockton-Malone, or Deron-Carlos, or TD. But even the Spurs, who struggle to score sometimes, have Ginobli to provide some creativity. Dunleavy is trying to fit square pegs. This team just sucks.

How about the Clippers' complete teamwide snub at the all-star game?

I must have watched 10 hours of all-star coverage this weekend and the only mention of the Clippers is when some 12 year old girl was wearing a blue alternate Cassell Clippers Jersey during player introductions. And even then, they only showed the back of the jersey.

It's as if the Clippers dont exist in this league. Even Milwaukee had a rep. Dont get me wrong, looking back, there is NO WAY Kaman deserved to be out there with those studs. Thornton should have been there, but he didnt make a case for himself until after the teams were picked.

But really, I've never seen it THIS bad. It's sad to say that at this point, the Clippers really dont matter. They dont even matter a little bit. The only way you'd know they exist is that other teams have to play them a few times a year each.

I can usually take the abuse of being the fan of a historically crappy franchise. I actually like the underdog role. I've purchased season tickets for 7 years now...

I moved to LA five years ago and instantly adopted the Clippers..I've always hated the Lakers. It's taken me five years to really learn what it truly means to be a Clipper fan...they make you lose all hope. As long as DTS is the owner they will be an irrelevant joke.

Brand isn't gonna leave, especially since he'll make like 17 million next year...also, he's coming off a serious injury and will want a max contract, the only way any team will give him that is if he proves he is fully back, and he'll need more time than he'll get this year to do that. best option for him would be to sign a max contract extension with the Clips. i love Elton, but is he a franchise player? i dunno. i do love him though and we do need him.

livingston will also need to prove himself. no way clips or anybody pays him a lot of money after the injuries he's had...sadly, his "upside" has been surpassed by his "downside". some people are just injury prone...hope it's not him, but that had to hurt.

with thorton showing mad offensive skills, the Clips need to go for guards this off season, shooting guard (Cat is a great back-up, but starter, i don't know anymore), and we need someone we can depend on to run the show. with sam going and shaun always hurt (check every season), that is our pressing need. no clue what the solution is. Maybe trading Terry for Corey is an option again because Dallas is getting Kidd. Is Terry better than salary cap availability, again, i dunno. thoughts?

Also...The Clippers are a very athletic team and should run fast breaks more...We have so many quick players...Mike Dunleavy just over thinks everything, we dont get enough easy shots...I remember the Dallas game. We shot over 50% and we still only scored about 90 points, not enough shots/ easy shots would do that to you despite your success on the field.

If they can still make the Corey-Terry trade happen, they should do it, simply because Terry can shoot like a mother, and that is what the Clips need. If that is not possible, then we need to sign a top 2-guard who can shoot over the summer, but I can't figure out who's available...Gordon Giricek seems to be the best - yikes. Unless we can get someone in the draft. I don't mind Mobley and Thomas so much off the bench. Hopefully Shawn can come back and be a solid NBA starter. But even if he does, a starting five of Brand-Kaman-Thornton-Livingston-FA 2-guard is probably still not good enough to make the playoffs in the West.

the west is soo good and tough, their only hope i think of making the playoffs next year is if they can pray gilbert arenas is homesick and they can get him in Free Agency. if giricek is the best option...yikes!

I've read all the comments and I agree with you. But I think there is still hope for this franchise with some of the players we have right now. As long as we can have a healthy Kaman, Thornton and our captain Brand we can plug in some pieces and we can compete in the western conference.

Kaman and Brand both play some hard defense and with the posibilities of what Thornton can become. As fans we have seen what he can do to top NBA Allstars, he took both Bosh and Carter of the drible. I'm hoping that he (AL)keeps learning from his mistakes.

I'm still going to be a Clipper fan, and what I want from management is to somehow get rid of our old players, Mobley,Cassell,Williams and pick up some young talent. It could be done look at Portland...

I think Mike Miller would be a great addition. He's a clutch shooter who doesn't play great defense... The thing is, he's a REALLY good outside shooter, which could make up for his shortcomings.

I dont think Al Thornton's minutes would suffer that much, as Maggs and him get playing time together as is.

The #1 pick is out of the question...as the Clippers are the ones taking on the salary.

If you bring in Miller, you almost have to send Maggs packing for the rest of the year. Mabye you can give Maggs up to another team and get your #1 pick back if you lose it to the Grizz.

I agree with ACD for once. Q Richardson sucks big time. Look at his numbers. Miller is a stud. Just a fraction behind Maggette, but the acquisition makes no sense unless you are resolved to losing Maggs.

Why do the Clipper keep trying to get Miller? Maybe Dunleavy likes his doo. With Thorton, Brand and Kamen, why would you need Miller? Bring back Craig Hodges if you want some outside shooting. Clipper are in position to get a great guard with their 1st pick.

I think this will work, let's trade the pieces that they want Cassell, Williams and give them that draft pick we have from Wolves. And let's hope that Elgin can somehow get Crittenton, if he was to pull that trade we would be in a very good position.

But if there's anyway that we could keep Corey at a reasonable price I would rather we do that!!!!

we need a point guard and a shooting guard. i doubt this trade will go through, especially after seeing todays LA Times where it doesn't look like Cassell is going anywhere. Dunleavy will probably say he tried to make deals but the Clippers said no and he is the best coaching option for any team in the world.
