love the pic...perfectly describes our season to this point...the only difference being that in the pic there is a firefighter, whereas for our season there is no one to put out the flames...

Singleton not getting meaningful minutes is ridiculous

You're right, JP. No EB, where's Sing? And Davis at the 4 with Kaman in the game and no Singleton, c'mon. I've held my tongue on MD till now. His substitutions never fail to baffle. He's doing a terrible job.

That's the most frustrating thing. No consistency in his substitution pattern. Not the biggest fan of Singleton myself, but he should at least get some tick ahead of Ten-Day Christie.

FIRE DUNLEAVY.

seriously,
15 points in the second quarter???
it's not the defense dunleavy, it's the offense, and countless times (especially in the 2nd quarter) i see no plays called, the shot clock winding down to 4 seconds, and then a panic shot taken (usually within half a step of the 3 point line...pointless).
With or without Elton, there is no offensive flow, ever. Mr. untouchable Livingston and Dunleavy really need to work on that.

It is now overdue time to commit. I am sick of being a shitty team in denial. Commit to a team a go with it. Dunleavy waffles all the time, always trying to adapt to the opponent, well guess what? We are not chameleons, we are a basketball team. Give each player a role and trust that he will do it. Trust your players, trust your system, and stop worrying so much about what the other team is thinking or doing... how much did it help to outsmart the Suns last year in Game 5 and put Ewing in stiff and cold off the bench with two seconds remaining????

Trust the guys on the floor to do their job, give them a chance to screw up, but more importantly, give them a chance to succeed and build some momentum. That is what leadership is about! Our team is waddling around in no-mans land coz our coach is a space-cadet (thanks for letting me borrow that phrase P. Jacksong) who overthinks and undercommits. We are at the All-Star break and you are still talking about the training camp in Russia in October - Are you kidding me?????

Dunleavy, you have the freaking tools to make this work (you even picked most of them yourselves), now stop being such a girlyman, have some nuts and commit to a somewhat predictable rotation with set roles and let the team play Clippers ball...
And on a side note, how long has EB struggled with back spamsm? His production has been down lately, but I didn't know he was hurting???

No Elton? Ouch. And that's the story witk Kaman and his shooting percentage? I was banking on this guy turning the season around at some point, but now I doubt it.

Continuity breeds success; especially in the NBA. Why did the Minneapolis Lakers, Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls have their dynasties? The same coach, same system, same players always have an advantage. Playground ball; you have 3 - 5 guys who play together regularly they know how to defend as a team, switching etc and know how to run the s/r and each other's sweet spots. Detroit will be in the Eastern Conference finals and Clippers played them at the Palace at the end of a 12 day marathon road trip, w/o EB? This is not the end of the world. It's how the Clippers will grow from these experiences which will shape their future.

No one is advocating a change in the player personnel. We just want Dunleavy gone. His simplistic and unimaginative offense have held down the Clippers all season. His failure to commit to a consistent rotation are dragging this team down into mediocrity. Consistency is great. Yes, the Pistons are consistent, but they are not coached by the same guy that took them to the finals a few years ago. A coaching change is needed.

FIRE DUNLEAVY.

I am not screaming Fire Dunleavy, I am asking for him to develop actual roles for the players. Commit to a style, commit to a hierarchy, commit to doing things your way and stop hitting "shuffle" on the game planner before every freaking game. Let's have some continuity for better or worse...

Our team has no chemistry, and we there is no chemistry you will achieve nothing...

fire dunleavy before he picks another korolev in the draft this year (when he may have two chances). too bad it will never happen.
i hope elton doesn't get selected for the all-star game, he needs to sit and relax and try to be the horse that he was last year.

If you fire Dunleavy the Clippers will get a scrub to replace. The chain of events here is not hard to see.

37 wins becomes optimistic when within 1.5 years when you have no point guards, a disgruntled veteran shooting guard, a small forward and power forward deciding to opt out or not and a disgruntled young center.

Firing Dunleavy IS a change in player personnel.

Yeah, dump Dunleavy so the Clippers can return to the days of solid draft selections like Kandi and Darius Miles. Short memories short memories.
